I still don't like the exemption (and I don't like it for anyone who hasn't won a number of PGA Events), but we've been through this, so I'll spare everyone.

Yeah, we have, but what the fuck. One, sponsor exemptions put paying customers in the gallery and viewers on TV, so it supports bigger purses, so the golfers should support sponsors getting the exemptions. Two, I'd rather see up and comers like Wie than tired ex-winner hacks like Chip Beck.
