Does she then keep them at home long enough so she has to pay a "fine", negating the very reason for going to the "library"?

Again and again, and when I ask you to explain, you say . . .

Ahem. For the record, there was no winking.

She likes to flirt with danger, so she has found a library branch where the practice, apparently, is to re-shelve books without recording that they have been returned, and then to bill patrons for failing to have returned them. This leads to the always-pleasurable ritual of locating the books on the shelf and returning them to circulation desk. Such fun! Like catch-and-release fishing, but free, and usually there's no need for waders.

You smiled but did not wink? Sorry, but you are back behind Ty's espresso and Derrida geek out in terms of badassity.
Speaking of geekouts, are any of you indie-popsters into Spoon? I am going to see them tonight. I think they are fine, but cannot get too worked up about them. Someone convince me how great they are.

I came across this on the remainder table at the local McBooks, and snatched it up (maybe it's coming out in trade paperback soon?) -- very funny. The first person plural narrator could have been nothing more than an annoying "oooh, look at me! I have a MFA!" affectation, but it wasn't.
So, thanks ncs via Ty.

Right. Though after Burger's comments on failed entrepreneurism in his neighborhood, I am wondering if we are contributing to the impending failure of public works systems across the country, all in the name of our small children.

In TCOTU, you can renew books on line, request books to be transferred to your branch through the seachable LEO database, download items from ENypl, etc.
It's coolness.

Oh Jesus. You are not whiffing. To be honest, I have not read your signature line since you had that Amy Tan bullshit there for like a million years. I am so not surprised that you have replaced it with that lame ass song.

So it was never about a desire to tap into a market niche, it's about banishing that not-so-fresh feeling. I thought you were an environmentally conscious guy.
