Yeah. I never said I didn't suck. I'm the first to admit that I am no where near as good as I want to be. I am a master slicer. However, being good means playing a lot - for that I will need time and money. Playing better will have to wait until I retire.

Re: consistency - being consistently closer to the green on your second shot is not a guarantee that you'll hit the green. That's why they put the damn sand traps where they do.

[Edited because I really do know the difference between a season and a series finale]
They knew that this would be the last season back in February at the very latest, probably in September, when SMG said that she wasn't signing another contract.

I agree on the Anya Andrew thing though. That rocked.

How is that a cat? I thought that was a pussy eye view of (a or b cup brooklyn bridge) tits. Like the equal signs are arms.

Sport, or not a Sport?

I mean, it helps to be fit, but you're basically walking at a really slow pace or riding in a little cart with your caddy doing all the lifting, with the occasional big swing, right? And there are a lot of out-of-shape looking pro golfers.

I certainly think it's an incredible skill, but a sport, it ain't.
Sure, it's a sport. Baseball's a sport, too, but you don't have to be Charles Atlas to play it. Cases in point from several eras.

David Wells

Babe Ruth

Boog Powell

John Kruk

Cecil Fielder

Frank Thomas (a few donuts away from being Cecil Fielder)

I don't think anyone can argue that either one is not a sport. What are you thinking?

Ah. I am enjoying this Rorsharch (sp) test. Thank you Ollie.

PP proves, again, that more than one interpretation exists.

K(the carat symbol are ears; the equal signs are whiskers; if you have to explain a joke . . .)E

Maybe you're hitting exactly on why some of the players aren't thrilled with all of this. Her presence is going to transform this from a major (?) professional golfing event, of which they can be professionaly proud of being a part, to a media-hype (but profitable) freak show. I can see some purists (who have worked all their lives on their golf game) being less than happy with this.

Kafka & Ollie, this is not a slam on your work ... but it may be on bilmore's!
How many goddamned times within 5 minutes are you going to edit this post? It's difficult enough for me to be witty; more difficult still if you keep changing the set-up.

Because in baseball, you at least have to be able to schlep around the bases fast enough to beat a throw in from the outfield when you get a hit. And you have to be able to throw really damn hard.

Golf is a couple of big, powerful swings, an ass-dragging meander to get to where the ball is, then some smaller swings, some more meandering, and finally a tiny putt or two. I'm fairly certain I expend more energy drinking a cup of tea for God's sakes.

It takes great hand-eye coordination and skill, and the attendant amount of brains, but so does chess, and it's not a sport either.

What makes you think Annika doesn't fall into this category? I don't know a whole lot about her, but she doesn't strike me as a crusader type.

Kafka, I can't help it, I'm OCD. And I didn't want to leave anybody out.
