Don't they mean Socialism?

Or are they incorrectly assuming I'm downloading the latest Streisand ballads and Dixie Chicks record?

they blew it

Another outrageous inaccuracy in the CBS Reagan miniseries: Apparently it said nothing about the fact that when she was single, Nancy Davis was known for giving the best head in Hollywood. No wonder I wasn't going to watch it. Not clear why it needs to be on Showtime if they're going to leave this out, though.

Saw it last night on the Imax. By far the most expensive, visually spectacular, B-movie I've ever seen. There were some very funny moments. Worth the big screen money for visual reasons only.

Presumably, Breckin Meyer wasn't in the running at the time. Consider this an asterisked record.

You're talking quantity, Lawford's talking skill. You really can't compare skill across generations. new kids come up, and benefit from what the older folks contributed. The new guys have access to video training that Nancy never had, and they get started earlier than Nancy did. Shoot, I've heard of middle schools with effective leagues now.

You do raise a point about some of the bias from those days though. There were plenty of men playing the game in the 40's and 50's and probably playing it well. They just weren't what Lawford considered "the right kind," so they didn't count.
It wasn't until Paul Lynde got the Uncle Arthur role in Bewitched, effectively smashing the gender line, that the guys could begin being considered alongside the girls.

Meanwhile, back in the 50's who was best in Hollywood? I'd nominate a certain young man, nicknamed Walter, and known for his ring work:

of course he was in the lineup back then, how could Lawford have ignored him? Guiness Book of World Records for fastest fingers? C'mon now.

Late to the game.

Slave, give my regards to Prima.

For those who don't care to go to the doctor, more power to you. After all, if you work out 5+ days a week, appear to be in the best shape of your life, finish mid-pack in mountain bike races, are certified as a fitness instructor and teach classes, work your day job like a maniac, and eat decently, nothing could possibly go wrong.

I finally watched Matrix Reloaded last nite. My only commentary would be that there is no reason to listen to any of the dialogue. Yeh, I'm sure the Wachowskis have some deep meaning in mind and there are loads of hidden fables for humanty laced through the film, but for those of us who don't give a rat's ass about such nonsense and just want to be entertained, it was a just a pretty good picture show. I turned up the surround sound full blast and had a good time. I don't know why people bag on these flicks so much... The freeway scene was better than most action flicks.

S(who cares what its about... it was visually stunning - a perfect Sunday hangover movie)D

Agreed. It is true that a blowjob or cunnilingus is not technically sex, but its still adultery. The Court got sex confused with adultery.

S(otherwise, "Honey, it was just a hummer" would be an acceptable excuse")D

Your probably right, but that seems like a lot of effort just to avoid going to the doctor.

And I don't think Sebby is a mountain bike type of guy--NTTAWWT.

I own one and I know how to ride it on trails, etc, but I prefer to read magzines, watch TV and listen to cds while using the cardio machines at the gym. Its just so much easier to go to the gym than unlock the bike, check the tires and get the thing out to the trails, even though I do actually enjoy it once I get there...

Absolutely. Better a once a year confirmation I'm not in imminent danger of death yet so I can get back to bs-ing with my friends over a nice glass of whiskey after a half-assed day of skiing.

There is nothing like moutainbiking. I like riding down that trail with the wind in what's left of my hair, the handlebar in one hand, my starbucks french-roast venti in the other and my favorite illegally downloaded MP3 tunes blasting in my iPod.

Life was made for spandex on middle-aged men. Ahhh good times.
