Please provide guidance on how to interpret this statement in a way that is favorable to me so that I may bank it. Thank you for your assistance.

Right. They put in a mediocre performance against a mediocre team and then say, "Look what great sports we are. We don't run up the score!" after running up the score the rest of the season against other teams. They suspected what was coming BCS-wise and hoped to use the sportsmanship argument would gain traction.

There was also the crappy clipping call that cost them a touchdown at the end of that guy, moments before Tedford decided to take a knee.
But's it's not clear that a 17-point win over Southern Miss would have helped, since what did the Bears in was -- as I understand it -- the handful of coaches who ranked Cal 8th or 9th, presumably to help Texas that much more. The coaches poll is a political exercise to start with, since we know that most coaches don't have the time to watch most games, and they won't release the voting, but that was just BS. Reasonable people can differ about whether Cal or Texas was #4 or #5, but those coaches who bounced Cal down in the final polling ought to be publicly exposed or humiliated in some way.
Apologies if I have left the impression that I care about college football. I just like the idea of publicly humiliating college football coaches -- Mark Price was nice and all, but that was last year.

You must have such a consistently sunny disposition that it obviates my need to ever ask.
You're welcome.

Ah, right. Good one. Thanks!
I am quite perky today, despite the sudden cloud cover.

I highly doubt it. If it were about ass-fucking, I would be participating. As would DS. Probably.

Yes, thanks. Even though I think it's some kind of weird penis-like growth on her leg.
