Because none of that would matter! We just need to make sure the Cat in the Hat gets the house cleaned up before mom gets home!

There really is nothing sadder than these retirees lost in a world that no longer exists, a world where high tea was served in firm library every afternoon and all the partners summered at cottages in the same quaint but exclusive little town. A world where they could pinch the secretaries because that is what they were for, and it wasn't an indiscretion because nothing they did to people of that class mattered. A world where no one laughed when a law student put their prep school on their resume.
PLF, if you're coming back from retirement, we need to put you to work. And I hope you realize, this means REAL work -- sweating out deals through the night in shabby hotel rooms, pushing those lazy associates to go the extra mile, ripping apart little Willard's workproduct, regardless of his relations.

Mogen David? That stuff is the Shit!! Mix it with some 7-Up or ginger ale, and you gotta party. Goes great with pork rinds.

and she's first generation wealthy. Your theory is true, but takesr a few generations. her grandkids will be beautiful, mostly, with an occasional recessive throw back to remind the family of Ari.

I didn't hang with the non-denom prep school crowd. As for R.C. schools, the only girl I knew to have gotten pregnant was transferred to another school in the city specially reserved for Catholic High School Girls in Trouble. The idea being it was too embarassing to be at a girl's school where all the other girls knew you had succumbed to temptations. This was in 1986 or so. She raised the kid with her parents and got married four or so years later. That kid's gotta be 17 now. (Jeziz Christ!)
I'm sure there were others, but doubtless their parents "handled" the situation without the school administration ever finding out. I'm given to understand it can be "handled" on an outpatient basis, and will remain so until Sandra Day O'Connor dies.

Stop, you're making me all weepy and nostalgic. 'Cause you better believe that was the gig I thought I was signing up for when I applied to law school. Silly, silly BRC.

Make that sixteen. I would still nail her though--but just on principle.

I think rich unattractive people just marry prettier people. How else could Gloria Vanderbilt have produced Anderson Cooper? Or was the dad rich/powerful also?

Free* Booze, Black Tie AND a tax writeoff? You apparently haven't met many Republicans.
*"free" as in, someone other than myself, most often my employer, paid for such overpriced ticket/table/whatever

Expose yourself to them. but watch out, they know how to beat your ass in a street-hardened way, not a sissy catholic school girl in thurgreed's tie way.

Yeah? Well my public-school kid can kick any prep-school kid's ass anywhere and anytime.
Inherent attractiveness? Do well-bred people have hip-displacia like pure-bred dogs? Or big ears like Prince Charles? There is something to be said for expanding the gene pool beyond your bridge club...or your trailer park

and by the way, you can try to do a frat like, clique, group think appraoch with me, but I have always been comfortable enough with myself that I dont need to rely on the acceptance of the majoirty to feel good about myself. Its called self esteen. You should try to find some.

Move to Texas. Sure the tea is booze and the quaint town is usually where the duck lease is, but that sort of thing still exists here.

She's got a point.
I went to school, worked hard, and dragged myself up from my plain, white trash roots mainly so I could meet beautiful women who smelled good.
Worked, too.
