Shhhhhh. No talking about the packet in public (unless you use that small font.)
Apologies for what I'm sure is a simple case of administrative oversight. I have NotBob's Fenwick on the case -- no doubt it was all his fault. It's so hard to find good help these days!

If she does that to my picture, I'm getting all Spanish Inquisition on her ass.

When the other dork confronted him about being an ass and actually (almost) got in his face, he didn't say shit. He's a pussy who thinks he's the man because he's surrounded by dorks who are smarter than him. He most certainly belongs in the class of guys they chose. In fact, he's below many of those guys. If he was on Bachelorette, he would be silent, in the corner and would leave the first episode.
Are you restricting your judgment to pure looks? (And I still think you lose if you are.)

This debate may force me to start watching that show. I read the recap on the nbc site yesterday and it sounds pretty entertaining...
In other news, CZJ may be on a litigation tear after her recent victory regarding the bad photos -
NOVEMBER 10--Fresh from a $24,000 victory over the British tab that published her wedding photos, Catherine Zeta-Jones is fixing for her next legal fight--this time, if you can believe it, over published reports that the Academy Award winner shed pounds via the Atkins diet. In a warning letter sent last week to media outlets (see below), lawyers for Zeta-Jones assert that "her likeness and persona have been improperly linked" to the popular diet in press accounts, adding that the weight loss program "has been derided by nutritionists and other health care officials for decades." (from The Smoking Gun, and you can see the letter as the doc of the day on tsg website today)
Is she using Tom Cruise's law firm? What could her damages possibly be? [note in responding to these questions that I am not a litigator, and all memories of stupid law school litigation courses have been conveniently repressed through the ongoing use of alcohol for the past 5 years - this is to say that I will not debate you, sebby, as to possible causes of action or burdens of proof or whatever]

Does that mean you grew up on google?

I think maybe RP was referring to the use of "who" instead of "that" when referring to "the group" as opposed to the collective noun treated as singular. You are correct that the British do that collective noun-plural thingy.
(e.g. "My family live there." As uttered by Sebastian Flyte, referring to the monstrosity of a "home" in Brideshead Revisited -- I don't know why, but that sentence sticks with me for some reason -- I didn't even need to google it.)
|
I thought she was addressing both. Kinda a two birds, one stone thing.

Penske, I'm not sure you'll avoid TM's wrath by posting all these under your taxwonk sock now. Nice try, however.

Much safer apparently, like Midnight Oil, to shave your head and just whine in a video.

Ummm, Midnight Oil is one of the most stridently political bands of recent memory. They make U2 look like N*SYNC in this regard (not a comment on music quality - just politics). Their one US hit Beds are Burning is all about giving land back to Australian aborigines - and they're serious about it, having repeatedly both sung and lobbied for their position, which is roughly equivalent to someone in the US advocating giving everything west of the Mississippi back to Native Americans. Their political leanings and the Australio-centrism* of their work are probably the primary reasons they have not had much success in the US, even though they have had a long and successful career in Australia. Some of their work is actually pretty good. I'm a big fan of their cover of Slim Dusty's "Pub with No Beer."
*It goes without saying that I just made this word up.

Yeah. No movies were ever made about any of that stuff.
