"Le Guen" is French for "wee baldy prick."

Why the long faces? After the frustrating, over-hyped, shambolic and ultimately inconsequential distraction of the "World Cup," we can all get back to an appreciation of the beautiful game as it ought to be played: Crunching tackles, kick-and-rush tactics, refereeing that is truly consistent and predictable in its bias, public drunkeness, fistfights and a wide variety of offensive chants.
Will you join me please in welcoming Scottish Premier League season 2006/2007 -- Celtic v. Kilmarnock, July 29, 2006.

Sorry you're having a disappointing World Cup. I'm sure Scotland will qualify for South Africa.
Best games to date:
France-Spain
France-Korea
Australia-Croatia
Germany-Poland
Netherlands-Portugal

Vino would be the favorite if his entire team weren't under suspicion. He might be able to win riding without a team, though.

I wish DebtSlave would counsel all those who issue wedding invitations with "black tie optional" that they've created a false dichotomy.

But did the students burn down the town when the team came home with the championship?

ETA: it looks like maybe that is just an updated term for Black Tie Optional. So follow up question - how many of the guys here would wear a tux (instead of a dark suit) to a Black Tie Invited wedding?
|
I haven't worn my tux in ~10 years, and would have to pull it out to see how it looks. I think it would fit just fine (woo hoo!), but it might look kinda dated.
I have a friend who got married many, many years ago in a very 80s tux and who wears it out every year on his anniversary.

So, now that the Tour has been made meaningless and uninteresting, what should I watch once the World Cup is over?

Coco Crisp?

Why bother predicting until we see who else is out by the end of the day.
