A Short History of Nearly Everything is fucking fantastic. Yes, his other books suck, but this one is the exception.
Not a good book for lawyers, though. Makes you realize how utterly stupid, absurd and pointless this profession is...Actually, it indirectly reminds the reader that practically everything is absurd and pointless, which, of course, is further incentive for me to walk into my boss's office and take a big steaming shit on his desk.

That was Return of the Living Dead. ("More brains!") Excellent film.
You'd like the Evil Dead movies, too, though EDI and II aren't quite as cheerful in their camp. In Evil Dead II, Bruce Campbell's eyebrows are like a live weasel running back and forth across his face; it's really an extraordinarly physical performance.
