Idiot lawyer calls back and yells that he wants it back in, I send him civil code section and he calls back even more steamed that I've been impertinent.

I laugh at idiot lawyer and tell him to note it in my annual review.

Fucking asshole.
Next time tell idiot lawyer that its an ethical violation to speak to his client without him present.

Did that already. Idiot lawyer said he was "directing" me to speak to his client whenever his client wanted because idiot lawyer was "really too busy" and on his way to a meeting about an "important deal".

Hours/Bonuses

So here we are, almost officially in the second half of December. What will people bill this year and, more to the point, what bonuses are people expecting based on those hours? I suspect most litigators are at 2100 or above and expecting a $20K-$25K bonus (for, say, a 4rd year), with deal associates at 1700 to 1950 and expecting nothing or maybe the minimum "discretionary" bonus at most. Also, any insight on whether PPP at your firm will be up or down this year?

She could do that, but she'd be wrong. The RPC allows you to speak with a represented party if you have the consent of that party's lawyer.

I will be out of the office for the rest of the day flogging the lazy GAs who work for the law firm of Finch & Folks.

So revise the document already.

Put in a provision that all your legal expenses will be paid by the idiot lawyer's idiot client, and send it out with a cover indicating that since idiot lawyer stated that he was too busy to work on the matter, it is clear that you will need to do additional work and that the idiot client should, of course, pay for that.

Then have your client intervene.

Thanks everyone for tolerating (or ignoring) my recent rant.

FYI, told idiot lawyer that idiot client wanted to close the deal before year end and my client didn't care when the deal closed.

Darned if a redline didn't show up early this morning with no changes (other than the insertion of "reasonable" in a couple of places).

I have no clue WTF you just said. Why don't you have your idiot client call me and explain it?

WTF happened to the IP forum? That was the only thing worth reading around here. Now I'm reduced to reading AMM's pathetic drivel?

We put most of the boards that get virtually no posting on haitus. You were the only one who had posted on that one inside of 60-90 days. None of the "practice area" boards were getting any activity. So while I have no doubt your posts are of wonderful quality, until there is more then one person interested in posting on the subject, away it stays.

By all means, if several people are interested in having it restored and plan to actually use it, I'll be happy to restore it. Just speak up. Otherwise space on the index page is too valuable to clutter up with forums virtually no one uses.

Thanks, leagle -- instead of giving mdjd a place to masturbate by himself, you make him come here so we can watch him.
