True, but Wellesley isn't a bastion of heterosexuality, either.

Ok, wait, now I see it.

Ty gets dissed for calling Cheney a fool while Penske trashes on the gangliness of a teenager?

I was upbraided, not dissed, and he was right.

As for the Clinton stuff, res ipsa loquitur.

Where is Penske? Haven't seen him around much lately.

FYI - She is not a teenager any more. As far as making fun of the way people look, you, my dear sir, have been known to participate in that yourself over on the FB.

Sorry, I must have missed that memo because I don't know what those acronyms mean.

BTW - when did this board turn into an etiquitte board? Isn't half the fun of being here that you get to just spout off about things in a way that you cannot do IRL?

The operative principle is that if you say something stupid, you will get called on it.

Ah, dating yourself. You should read Catch-22 sometime. And I'm sure you've used the term "SNAFU" in many a conversation.

3 Debates I'm Sick Of

He seems to think he has all the answers, and he appears to be running things in the White House so that only his views are heard by Bush.
Incidentally, some people think they see signs that some more pragmatic Republicans -- think Jim Baker or Brent Scowcroft -- are making a move to get Cheney out of there before the campaign starts in earnest. If so, most of us won't know much about it until it's over.

Saying Chelsea Clinton is hard to look at is stupid? OK, if by stupid you mean accurate.

Who gets hurt by me saying that in this forum? Do you really think that Chelsea reads these posts? Or does your wife or daughter look like her IRL and I hurt your feelings by saying she was ugly given the similarities?

You Dems say an awful lot of mean things about GWB in regards to your perception of his intelligence.

Are you serious? That would be a good idea. The administration needs some fresh blood at the upper tiers, and preferrably someone that can be groomed. Baker would be ideal because he's got the respect of everybody (Dems and Rs), but he's too old. Any mention on who they are pushing?

Wasn't Guiliani's name floated a few days ago?

I read Catch-22 but I did not memorize lines from it. I am not the type to memorize useless details from a novel or movie simply to be able to repeat them later in an attempt to impress others with my knowledge of pop culture.

Actually, I find it mildly entertaining to watch you go on a silly rant about the poor girl, but much less entertaining than watching the inanity you spout on Hillary. It's this thing about car wrecks, you see.

I don't think Cheney needs to be pushed. I don't think he wants to be VP for the next term. The guys not in the best of health and he loves his wife and family and wants to spend time with them before he dies. He is no idiot and I am betting that at his age and with his money, he doesn't need the job and the grief he takes over Halliburton isn't worth it to him anymore.

Rumsfeld will voluntarily leave at the end of the first term, too. He has done what he wanted to do.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Greenspan leave as soon as the job situation* improves. He has made his mark on history by correctly predicting the bubble would burst with his "irrational exuberance" comments when everyone else was saying the business cycle has been repealed.

We are not talking about spring chickens here.

* then all those people who Ty claims have dropped out of the job market can begin eating again.

New York Daily News started a rumor that Guiliani's name was being floated by Republican insiders, and the rumor was squelched by the White House.

I'm not sure I trust the NY Daily News as the place to get Beltway insider information -- more likely a plant from Guiliani's folks.

Since then, I understand some McCain partisans have been floating his name.

Who knows what it means.
