They can't fall off if one is honest about size when purchasing. The sort who lie 6" as to height on the internet, might just lie a size higher in the line at the drugstore. that's where the fall offs can happen. Or maybe someone who grew up metric trying to convert?

Pai Gow Poker - the house takes a cut of your winnings. There is a house edge generally, but the players also have the right to be the dealer once a round and at that time, you get the house odds. It is a derivation of poker. It works like this:
Each player is dealt 7 cards.
Two cards go one poker hand (AA is the best hand) and five cards go in the other. The five card hand must beat the 2 card hand (so if you only have one pair, for example, the pair must be in the five card hand).
The goal is to beat the dealer's hands. If you win either one but don't win both, you push (this is why money doesn't move very fast and it is a good late night game, particularly if you've been losing at blackjack or craps). The (relatively) bad player odds come fro mthe fact that the house wins ties. This is why being the dealer turns the odds.
The house has a set way that it has to arrange its hands but there is no rule as to how you must organize your hands (other than that the five card hand must beat the two card hand), so depending upon how you are feeling you can play conservatively for the push or aggresively for the win. Also, the dealers (or other players) will give you advice if you need help - that is why it is easy to sit down for the first time at a table and play. Especially late at night after losing a bunch of cash at Blackjack. Not that this has ever happened to me, mind you.
And, of course, if you get 7 cards and have nothing, that is Paigow. All the better if the dealer does it.
Come to Vegas Dec. 16 and we'll play.

I was not a believer in the Pai Gow, but now I am. Slower and more friendly than blackjack and craps. Great for the post 10 free casino drink portion of the day when you seem to leak a lot of cash at the blackjack table and get booted for shouting at the craps table. The odds are basically even up, other than the house takes a cut of hands you win (1.5%?). Made a great Pai Gow showing a few weeks back at the Tahoe tables, which makes up for the NCS witnessed spanking I got in Vegas last time between 2 am and 4 am after being way up from blackjack. Ouch.

Pai Gow Poker is the only game I have ever played in a casino. I could not keep the rules straight. It was very friendly, but then, we were in New Orleans.

I think register for and play in this blackjack tournament (which I have never done before, but a friend from Dallas plays in them all the time). Blackjack tournaments turn the accepted strategy on its head because instead of only playing against the dealer, you are also playing the table. I don't really get it.

These are all distinctions without a difference. The salient point is that you're probably going to the doctor to get your warts lasered off, at best.
Needless to say, this is crap I've read about, rather than experienced first hand.

When you win, you pay the house 2.5% of your bet.

NCS seems to be the darling of the Venetian with all these offers. Especially frustrating since I think I was the one that funded the new tower at that place while she went home a winner...
At any rate, when you play there and get rated they start sending you promotions.

You can win, lose or draw equally, but you have to pay the house commission when you win. Basically, you break even and drink free all night.
