Isn't Hudsucker Proxy a Coen Bros film? I think that is their worst. I think Fargo, while not great, and not as good as say, Blood Simple (as e/o points out) had its moments. I think I am partial to movies with lots of snow though.
Edited to say that I just realized E/O thought it was bad, so I am a big dummy

Atticus, Not Bob took the words right out of my keyboard.
Not Bob, Nob Bob is a cute nickname for yourself. It sounds like a sport, or a game.

Yeah. I own it. It's great. Watched it two weeks ago as a matter of fact.
Hudsucker Proxy is phenomenal if you watch it as the Frank Capra homage that it was meant to be.

I was a little disappointed last night. I really didn't care for any of the song choices - although the last 2 were OK. I would really have liked to hear Ruben sing some Marvin Gaye.
I think last night's show was style over talent. I don't know why some of you people hate Clay so much - he is so much more talented than Justin Guarini ever was. And while I love Ruben, I hated his song choices last night ( not that I liked Clay's either) and he has pitch problems occasionally. At least Clay (if you don't have to watch him) is solid with his pitch. And they've really done a good job with his eyebrows which were out of control when he first came to the show and for the first few weeks.
I also tried (like the loser that I am) to dial in last night, until midnight and NEVER got through. I also tried on my ATT cell phone with no luck. Well, I think tonight is going to be Fox's biggest night ever - but 2 hours? Yawn.

Does anyone know the format for tonight's show? Obviously, I only HAVE to tune in for the last ten minutes or so, but I missed last night's show because I was kayaking, and I plan to kayak tonight also up until the very moment in which watching American Idol becomes more fulfilling.

Your recap of tonight's show...
Well last year there was a lot of "group singing" as I recall, and it was really annoying.
I'm sure there will be yet another celebrity appearance (hopefully NOT Paul Anka or Burt Bacharach again).
Seacrest asked the audience to vote for their favorite "video" so I'm sure we'll see Ruben dressed up like a pimp again (Heeey, must be the monaaay).
They'll sing a song from last night (again) and we'll probably have to suffer through yet another rendition of "Proud to be a freakin American."
And then we'll have to see Kelly and Justin pushing their new stoopid movie "From big hair to fat ass" and then if you're not totally drunk by then and passed out on the sofa, you'll see this year's winner.

More importantly - how friggin cool was the ending of "24"? No puppydog and ice cream ending on that show. Jesus.

My guess would be some Bee Gees medley, followed by some pretaped costume-skit schtick, followed by a recap of all the performers (including Josh singing Proud To Be An American), followed by meaningless banter among the judges, followed by another medley of some sort, followed, in the last 2 minutes, with the "big announcement" of which one of the finalists will get the official title (since they will both be all over the media for their full 15 minutes anyway and the actual title appears to be meaningless).
n(but I hate the show)cs

I admit that I laughed out loud at that post, but, in the spirit of Bilmore, Puns, Paigow, I'll instead say that I was Chai Yakking.

It totally sucked. I'm surprised they didn't have Carrie and Michelle hug at the end and say "no hard feelings."
Nina should come back and kill some more people with credit card fragments.

I agree, Clay sounded great last night. Ruben's performances were problematic for two reasons. One, except for about 15 seconds of one song, he showed little range of emotion. Most of the time he gives us the same smiley even-keeled Ruben. It's nice, but became uninteresting by the fourth or fifth week of the competition. Second, his vibrato goes sharp. This bugs the hell out of me.
I voted last night for the fist time. I didn't count how many times I hit redial, maybe five or six. No trouble getting through at 10:40, which is when I finished watching the tape (of course, I was watching Buffy at 8).

I love love love that show.
The ending was flawless.
Except people should have been in cuffs heading to prison for treason.
