When my wife was pregnant with our second, its pre-birth name was "Normal." After approx. 16 months outside the womb, he's now in the 95th percentile for weight and off the charts for height. Proud parents? You betcha. Best wishes to your budding family.

I finally got around to reading the EW article.

Their criteria for cult status is: did poorly at box office, reborn on video, now part of "cultural Esperanto."

Shockingly, most of the films we mentioned made the list, and many of my favorite movies (Hard-Boiled, Friday) that I wouldn't have assigned cult status.

11. Five Deadly Venoms
12. Plan 9 from Outer Space
13. Brazil
14. Eraserhead
15. Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!
16. The Warriors
17. Dazed and Confused
18. Hard-Boiled
19. Evil Dead II
20. The Mack
21. Pee Wee's Big Adventure
22. Un Chien Andalou
23. Akira
24. The Toxic Avenger
25. Willie Wonka
26. Stranger than Paradise
27. Dawn of the Dead
28. The Wiz
29. Clerks
30. The Harder they Come
31. Slap Shot
32. Re-Animator
33. Grey Gardens
34. The Big Lebowski
35. Withnail and I

to be continued . . .

Tour Cast

Okay, the PGA Tourcast thing is up and running. It's kind of cool. They show little figures of the players and animate their shots. Swing and crowd noise. At 1:43 CT (her tee time, I believe), you can follow Annika (or any other player) on the course. Or you can go there now and replay her round yesterday, if you're curious.

(And the cut line has shifted. It is now at +1. 86 players, including Annika at this point.)

He was such an ass in that episode. In fact, he was the biggest ass of anyone on the show.

Outside the house, he seemed reasonable, if pissed off. Inside, when he thought he couldn't be heard, he was angry and cursing.

Clearly, she married a real sweetheart.

As for the internet dating issue, I think a mere dating service is not nearly lurid enough for this Board. A 'deposition' matching service with live Web Cams, now we're talking...

Now, I can't explain why, but this particular phrase caused me to physically squirm -- it's so graphic. Very effective. I think the word "slice" kind of reminds me of paper cuts or something. Ouchie!

(To resurrect the "Jackass" conversation -- remember that paper cuts scene from the movie? I think that was one of the stunts that caused the cameraman to barf.)

From the article:

"Bill Tafoya, a professor of criminal justice at the University of New Haven and a retired FBI agent, said he suspects the bomber may have acted out of revenge for some perceived wrong.

"It could be a (law) student who didn’t get a grade they wanted"

Good thing Professor Sherlock retired from the FBI, because last I checked, Yale Law School didn't give grades.

Q: So Leagl...what did you do today?

A: Oh, I facilitated people flying across the country so they could fuck each other. Further, I arranged for people to view said fucking on a web cam. I also made money as a result of this.

Q: So....you're a pimp and you direct porn?

A: Basically.

Q: That education...really paid off for you didn't it?

A: My parents are very proud.
