That said, I hate Phoenix. Except as a place to go for mid-winter boondoggle CLEs and such. It's kinda like Florida in the desert.
I thought you liked music? Shit, I love Phoenix. Any night, all year, you drive ten miles out and you find five or ten outside temporary huge festivals with bars and stages and bars and stages and bars - and pretty much every kind of music you might want. I've sat out in the stars, all eff'ed up, listening to the reincarnation of Hendrix, or the reincarnation of Morrison, or the reincarnation of Jarret (well, okay, couldn't be, as he's still alive) but, heck, man, what a great all-year outside fairweather venue!

Course, too many turn out to be country, but then you drive on . . .

I have shirts that are twenty-eight. I'm sure you had a point with that, but I missed it.

You will thank me.
Effin' explorative suburbanites. Bet, on a good day, you go to a different TGIF's, right? For the thrill?

Go outside the city. Buy your groceries from the old miner with the beat-out store with the blown-down gas pumps. Think of a Friday night entertainment that DOESN'T revolve around "let's go downtown!"

Sebby, you're being told that, in Philly, you've found Nirvana, so why the fuck would you ever move?

Think about that.

Howard Stern

This can't be a good idea.

David Lee Roth, the original frontman for heavy metal group Van Halen, is among the replacements that will be filling Howard Stern's shoes when the raunchy shock jock leaves traditional radio at the end of the year, the Associated Press reports.

Who the hell thought that would be a good idea? Maybe if he sang old Van Halen songs for the whole time. But talk? Is he clean and sober?

Fiona was 18 when her first album was released. She's a girl Mozart, or something.

Of course you do. You fit right in to the demographic.

Actually, I like Phoenix too. My sister lived out there for a number of years in Ahwatukee. I'm not so sure I would like it over the summers, but it's certainly a nice enough place to visit, and there is plenty to do. Agreed with Not Bob that it's a perfectly pleasant place to be from October to March. In the summer though, it's fucking hot -- dry heat or no, hot is hot.

The job market is, generally speaking, pretty good, as far as I am aware. As you might well expect, pretty much everbody is from somewhere else. My sister and her family have been back east for a while now, due to my B-I-L's career, but I know if he got half a chance, he'd be out there again in a heartbeat.

Last time I was in Phoenix, it was August. It was 120 degrees. Blech.

Phoenix

By the time I get to Phoenix she'll be risin'.
She'll find the note I left hangin' on her door.
She'll laugh when she reads the part that says I'm leavin',
'cause I've left that girl so many time before.

I have been to Phoenix airport twice. Not a good scene, food- and people-watching-wise.

When my husband went to Phoenix, he saw Willie Nelson and took in a Coyotes game. Apparently both were very enjoyable events.

etnote that I am very sexy and give fantastic head.

I thought of this song when SD originally posted, but I was too lazy to look up the lyrics.

Another factor to consider is that Arizona will absolutely, positively require you to take the bar exam to be admitted. No waiving in. Which might doubly suck if one is only getting admitted as a safety net.

That being said, I'm still in the Phoenix isn't bad camp. I'd rather live there than Philly, at least. NTTAWWPhilly.

So, the incentive is to sit at third base at every table for the whole tournament? I don't get it either.

What a fool. Not analogous in the least. The sperm bank can't assure anyone its product is Russian.

I wouldn't be practicing. I'll fly out and take a look. Why the fuck not?

I couldn't do FL. I've been through the Boca/PB/WPB/FLauderdale/Jupiter corridor a million times and, though I like it, the traffic alone has nearly driven me to homicide (which, if committed on most of the old bitties on the road would actually be classified as mercy killing). Plus I can't take humidity.

The sperm bank visitor is a woman who has given up finding a guy she'd like to raise a kid with. She wants the kid- not the man.

The mail order bride husband has given up finding a woman, and so he tries to buy one. He wants the woman, if a kid come okay. If he just wanted a kid he'd get a surrogate. I think he is the more desparate.

The one wild card is that the M.O.B. husband might be trying for a level of dutifullness not typically found from the US raised girl, although that may be more from the Phillipines. My bil married a filipino. He is a bum who can't work. She has a job. We were visiting and she got up to make him breakfast before she went to work and he starts watching TV.

I'm not sure you can pull that kind of arrangement from home grown.
