poll from the other night went unanswered. fringey would like it answered. I know a half dozen of you have met her. (PM her if you think she doesn't want it answered.)
  • Fringey is closer in looks to:

1 Sally Struthers in All in the Family
2 Sally Struthers in feed the Children commercials
    3 Kirstie Alley in Cheers
4 Kirstie Alley in Fat Actress
    5 Divine in Hairspray

I've always seen her as sally s. about a year after All in the Family was cancelled, and she was still working out hopeful to get another job.

I think "6. None of the above" is the correct answer, but if forced to choose one of your lame-ass options, I'd have to say she's closest to 3.

I couldn't do FL. I've been through the Boca/PB/WPB/FLauderdale/Jupiter corridor a million times and, though I like it, the traffic alone has nearly driven me to homicide (which, if committed on most of the old bitties on the road would actually be classified as mercy killing). Plus I can't take humidity.
If I could figure out how to actually earn a living there, I'd move to Taos, New Mexico in a heart beat.

Unfortunately, there are something like 70 or 80 lawyers in a 6000 person county, and I'm not sure that my sex shop would do the amount of business there to support my lifestyle.

I go to Scottsdale at least every other year in August. But, I love the heat. I want it to be hot as hell. The good news, when it's hot like that, is that over 100 in AZ beats 90 in New York. The other good news is that 115 in the desert feels the same as 100. More good news is that everything is cheap as hell because all the pussies can't take the heat, even though all you do is sit by or in the pool or play golf in the morning when it's only 90 degrees.

The bad news is, if you go for a hike and don't carry and drink a gallon of water, you will die. It's so hot that you don't even know how much you're sweating because it evaporates off your skin without you even realizing it.

The other bad news (depending on who you are) is, there are no black people and everyone there is to the right of Coulter.

A friend of mine went to college at ASU and he had a 4x4 that he sometimes went off-roading with his friends in. One time he got stuck in the middle of nowhere and the only guy who came along for hours gave him and a jewish friend a lift. When they were in the truck (complete with shotgun rack, of course), he said something along the lines of "I don't mind jews too much, but you're lucky you don't have no niggers with ya because I wouldn't have even stopped to give you boys water."

See, that's the problem with all the choices Hank offered. None of them has the Fringey hairstyle. It's all wrong!!

Lemme tell you about the cesspool of dirty water known as the Main Line...

Imagine miles of yuppies run amuck in every direction, clogging the streets with their Discoveries (I guess now LR3s), packing every available restaurant with their tow-headed brats. Every grocery store is packed with soccer moms bitching at poor workers to find them "organic hand soap" and clotting in groups in every aisle, discussing who's spawn got into X college.

Its like Greenwich, the only difference being nobody here has any real money, and the people aren't half as interesting as people from NYC burbs like Greenwich. In fact, thats exactly what I live in - a low rent, half assed PA attempt at Greenwich. McRich. McCultured... a tofu and Splenda attempt at a NYC or LA burb.

What a heartwarming tale. I guess I should cancel my plans for that guided tour of the Southwest.

That. Is. A. Problem.

Now I understand why my cousin is so ardently Republican. With my mouth, I could get lynched in a place like that.

It's like the pussies who can't take the cold, even though all you do is sit in a gondola and then cruise down the hill when it's only minus 20.

I find hicks hysterical. Their views are appalling, but think about how absurd it sounds for someone to say something like that. Its like a Chappelle bit.

I'm a "can't take the cold" pussy and there's really not much I can do about it.
