If I were you I'd worry more about your own body obsession. When your rack droops, or your butt, or your jawline (and it will eventually, no matter how much you exercise), you're going to be completely psychologically unable to handle it and plastic-surgery yourself until you look like Michael Jackson.

You could make it up to me by sending evidence of your perky breasts and taut, supple buttocks, but apparently you don't feel that sorry for me.

I knew someone in college who grew up without a TV. Poor guy, he had absolutely no defenses whatsoever. He'd watch anything. Night Court, every night at 11:30 . . . .

Not true. I am cool with aging as long as I look really, really good for my age. So as long as I look 26 when I am 36, I say I win. When I am 60, I don't want to look 30, as long as I look 50, I win.

I like to think of this mathematically. I look 10 years younger than I am. Then factor in that I date guys at least 7 years older than me. But then, I only date them if they look 5 years younger than they are.

Add it all up and I look 12 years younger than my man. See, no need for plastic surgery. It is all about the numbers.

The Beasties, Eric B and Rakim, BDP, PE... that's sampling.

Dre, Snoop... that's liberally using PFunk and seventies funk influences, and improving on the grooves.

Puff Daddy and that new Eminem song (Dream On)... that's theft. And bad theft. I have yet to see a single redeeming piece of work by P Diddy - he sucks completely in every possible respect.

S(fuck P Diddy)D
I don't like Sean Puffy Cohen much. I don't like his music, I don't respect him as a person, and I think his bodyguard is (was) doing hard time for gun possession because he and his people decided that his image needed a street-cred makeover.

That said, he found Biggie, he gave us Biggie. For that I am eternally grateful. He also contributed to Biggie's death. For that I am eternally angry.

Str(I'm betting that Biggie and/or Pac have big new album releases coming out well into the 2010s -- they must have spent every waking moment in the studio -- but that's a whole other rant)8.

Sorry to disappoint - I guess it wouldn't suprise you to know that I wasn't "American" until relatively recently? The household I grew up in wasn't "American" so typical US culture sometimes took a backseat at my house. Try explaining the need for a class ring in HS to someone who never had one and didn't grasp the concept.

If you're so hot, and so freaked out about what exact age you look, how come you like to go out with guys who look so much older than you? You enjoy the arm-candy-younger-mistress-of-a-more-powerful-married-man aura when you go out on the town?

Oh, I think I made it through knowledgeable enough about pop culture. Once the children in the family outnumbered the adults, my parents gave up the little battles about TV selection, and concentrated on the bigger stuff like making sure that we survivied childhood relatively intact.

We were grounded from rated R movies for two weeks when my five year old sister called my 9 year old brother a faggot at the dinner table in front of company. He didn't come out until 11 years later.

Re: Terrence Mallick

In law school, I went with a group of friends to see Thin Red Line. After it was over, the theater was silent as the credit "Directed by Terrence Mallick," appeared. At this moment, I hear the guy sitting behind me say, in a matter of fact way, and not really for anyone else's benefit, "Fuck Terrence Mallick." Perfect and priceless.

Fuck Biggie.

He sounded like he had a fist sized wad of taffy stuck in his mouth, or he'd just left the dentist's office and his mouth, jaw, lips and tongue were still numb from novacaine.

I don't miss his ass one bit and am amazed he's thrown into the pantheon of great rappers such as Dre, Ice Cube and Chuck D. He's not worthy to wash their jockstarps.

Funny, I think I need counseling because I was permitted to watch far too much television. I am almost at the point that I cannot have a conversation without a television reference. It sucks when people you work with just don't get the references. For example, if I were working on something that called for a matter of judgment, and I had an opinion on it but not a lot of experience in the matter to back up that opinion, I might say, when talking to a more experienced person or one who might have a different opinion on the judgment call, "I'm just a caveman."

Do you really think that deserves a blank stare, or are my colleagues just uninformed fogies? I mean who doesn't know that the next line is "your laws frighten and confuse me" ???

I dumped a girl once primarily because she was too pop-culture dumb. I just found out my current s/o watches more TV than I do (SAMPLING FOOTNOTE - this sentence is patterned after, and an homage to, a line from Eminem's 1998/99 breakout hit "My Name Is").

No. I have explained this once before, but maybe you were absent that day. It is because I get hugely turned-on when my b/f gets hugely turned on by my body. It makes for hot as hell sex and I am sure that there may even be some "sex is power" aspect to it. But never spent too much time analyzing it. It is one of those if-it-feels-good-do-it things for me. Just seeing him like that is almost enough for me to orgasm, but not quite enough, as I still need at least a bit of direct clitoral stimulation for that.

When you both are 22, it doesn't matter that you are the same age, because at 22, if the wind blows across his crotch he gets turned-on. Now when guys get a bit older than that, they get, for lack of a better term, more discriminating. And if you ask me, they tend to discriminate toward women that are younger than they are.

So you see, it is really all about the sex for me. Other than politics, it is my only hobby. Running and working out aren't even hobbies for me because I do them so that the sex stays hot.

Carry on.
