Hey, my brother Johnny is a Republican. And unlike Joey and DeeDee, he's not dead. Maybe there's something to the GOP...

Edited to remove specifics from question.
I am having lunch with him tomorrow, so I'd love the patented Slave insights to parry with.

Something?
So one girl gave him the Clap and now he has life-long performance issues with women? Hmmm.
So the question is whether he needs to overcome his fear of re-contracting the Asian Flu - or perhaps switch teams entirely.
My suggestion - take him to a gay cruise bar. And then, if he's not thereafter playing ball with the other team - than tell him he needs 7 years worth of therapy.

80's Republicans [represented on TV by vertically and Parkinsons-challenged actors] wore sweater vests.
And fans of Weezer.

Really? I'll remember that next time I'm in Canada.

Are you kidding? This is bad PR? I thought bad PR was taking medicinal marijuana away from critically ill people with Aids, MS, etc.?

Cousin Larry seemed to like them. I believe Balki Bartokomous did as well:

Legal/Religious question

You may unveil within your family circle, but not in public. Obviously, there was no photography in seventh century Arabia, so who knows?
Quote:
Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do. And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.
|
The Meaning of the Qu'ran in English (Yusuf Ali), 24:30-31. There is also a hadith that Muhammed said that a woman should display no more than the eyes and hands. The interpretation of this varies hugely from culture to culture (compare Indonesia to Saudi Arabia).
Frankly, this woman has no case. I realize Lemon is now dubious authority and Establishment Clause cases are purely at the whim of a five member majority, but requiring identifiable photographs has a secular, non-religious legal purpose, and does not foster an excessive government entanglement with religion. There's no way this is an unconstitutional burden. Driving is a privilege, yadda yadda yadda.

picture linking
You will always find, if you show a picture from a geocities site on this (or any other site), that it will stop working after a very brief period. And then start and stop working over and over again. In fact, when you link to someone's site like that, as long as people are downloading the page on which the post is located, you are causing that person's site to be disabled for an over use of bandwidth.
So you won't be very successful in showing the picture, and you will also be making some poor slob very unhappy.

You have now brought it full circle, which is Apropos of Something, because it was your use of "pooper" that started the whole anal sex discussion.

No (ass) fucking shit. It took me forever to find the pics and now they're not showing up. They were up for about two minutes, and now they're gone. Fuck Cousin Larry and fuck Balki...

Yikes. Sorry about that. What do I do to avoid this? Not link to geocites?

Well...yeah. The free sites, geocities and tripod all do this. Some sites instead will show another image that tells you linking like that isn't allowed.
You could just provide a link to the picture instead of actually showing the picture. The difference there is that people have to click on the link to view it, while if you post it as an image here, every time the page reloads it uses bandwidth from the site it is hosted on.
So if you want to show a pic from a tripod or geocities site, I'd just post a link instead of using the IMG command to show the image.
Edited to say I took the liberty of adjusting your posts so they are as I suggested above. In a couple hours that site will work again.

Yes, it's true. Since I'm sure you frequently walk around Canada with small amounts of pot on your person, if you do get arrested, tell Fred the mountie that you know me and he'll let you off.

I'm not kidding. I'll spell it out: SARS + mad cow + potentially harboring terrorists + flipflopping on Iraq + decriminalizing pot = Bad PR. What you speak of is bad PR too, but not the sort of bad PR I am referring to.
