Have we had the "best series finale ever" debate?

Best sitcom finale: "Newhart." ("You should wear more sweaters.")
Best drama finale: "St. Elsewhere."
Yes, I realize these completely contradict the essay against mind-fuck movies. However, these two endings really accomplished something without making the viewer complain that everything before the mind-fuck was a waste of time.

Maybe one day someone ends these shit shows with a flourish, like having Bizmarkee come in and drown the cast in friends in spit! ![](http://www.packees.com/bizmarkie.jpg)

Some Observations
A couple of quick observations that don't really relate to anything and are probably only amusing to me:
1. The proliferation of "not" nicks - the end of creativity in sock naming?
I am troubled by the recent proliferation of names containing the word "not." Using my super-power administrator tools, I have discovered no less than 20 monikers containing the word "not." Some of the more prolific posters with such names include:
- Not Bob
- Not Flinty
- Not Me
- notcasesensitive
- NotFromHere
- not penske
In my mind Not Bob is the only person with a legit claim that he was being creative when he used "not" in his name (well, aside from the original not - not_ivy, but she doesn't post anymore). So, Not Bob is grandfathered in. As for the rest of you, my vote is for "not" creative.
This trend reminds me of the overuse of the phrase "got ______?" Hmmm.... got and not. Is this a coincidence? Or, are all three letter words ending in _ot destined to be overused? What's next? Hot?
2. I find Hank's chameleon of an avatar highly amusing. The amount of time you must spend searching for pictures to photochop that face onto is mind-boggling. I assume you've gotten very good at using layers in photoshop. Or are you using something else? Anyway, keep it up.
That's all I have for now.

Not that I ever claimed to have a clever name but... I don't think you'd like me if I was Case Sensitive (though dtb might). In any event, it was just a quick attempt to differentiate myself from you litigator types. I care if you don't like it. Right.
