Many families have been devastated tonight. This just is not right. They did not deserve to die. If someone did this to get back at Bush, then they did so by killing thousands of people who DID NOT VOTE for him! Boston, New York, DC, and the planes' destination of California -- these were places that voted AGAINST Bush!
Why kill them?

Western Michigan is seriously God's country. I was about 15 miles west of Ann Arbor last weekend, that is 15 miles outside Not God country, And saw a billboard on I-94 that basically said Jesus would vote for Bush/Cheney.

You can't quote the man's 9/12/01 statement w/o noting he says the cause was we bailed out of the Kyoto agreement. Ty and them paid $9 to hear what else he had to say.

Women to DNC: You ain't da boss of me no more
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/09/22/po...2women.html?hp
I love how the NYT phrases this. Women, who traditionally are owned along with blacks by the DNC, are riding to the freedom of the RNC. The DNC is begging them to stay, arguing that life on the democratic plantation is beeyouteeful.

I Hate the Fucking Teachers
Quote:
More than 25 percent of public school teachers in Washington and Baltimore send their children to private schools, a new study reports.
Nationwide, public school teachers are almost twice as likely as other parents to choose private schools for their own children, the study by the Thomas B. Fordham Institute found. More than 1 in 5 public school teachers said their children attend private schools.
In Washington (28 percent), Baltimore (35 percent) and 16 other major cities, the figure is more than 1 in 4. In some cities, nearly half of the children of public school teachers have abandoned public schools.

I Hate the Fucking Teachers
Why does it surprise people that public school teachers who can afford it might send their kids to private school? Public school teachers presumably know the problems of public schools better than anyone, and while they may be dedicated to working against those problems (yes, there are good public school teachers out there), that doesn't mean that they don't want to provide the best and safest education for their kids. Why the horror over this?

Be careful when you unleash that sort of reasoning -- you never know where it might take you:

I'm pretty sure that Stephen Colbert made the exact same point last night on the Daily Show.

2. Further, why are the sins of the union(s) imputed onto every member? A lot of these people know exactly who their unions protect, and don't agree with the protection.
If Club doesn't mind, I think his post should be titled: "God I hate the fucking teachers unions!"

I didn't realize the unions were holding a gun to their members heads to force them to send their kids to private schools.
Seriously, the unions are a red herring. The same arguments could be made for owning a Honda while working at a GM plant, but I'd hate to be a Honda dealer in Flint, MI.
Of course, the car you drive is certainly an issue of lesser importance than the education your kid receives.

I think the points been made, but are you saying that lawyers earning hundreds of thousands a year but sending their kid to public school while bitching about a $5,000 a year property tax bill have a right to complain when a teacher making $50,000 a year decides to spend $20,000 of it on education for their kid?
What, Club, people have a right to choose to do with their money whatever you tell them to do?

You think it strange that I'm suggesting not all union members agree 100% with their unions?
Do you see why people make fun of you?
