I was in the UK in December (not London, but a fairly large city) and the one thing that wasn't outrageously expensive was the drink. You can get a pint (a real 20 oz. pint) for two pounds, or less than $4 at the going rate then, which I consider a deal. Of course, I live in TCOTU and my idea of a "deal" may be insane.

Get ready to pay $16 for a curry chips, though.

When did this start? I'll have half a non-alcoholic malt beverage, please.

The second video tape is awesome. She blows some guy then jerks him off all over her tits.

The flip side is when they come over here and get charged $6 bucks for a 12 oz. bottle of beer. You've never heard such moaning, even though they just went to Century 21 and bought five bags of Eurotrash clothes at 1/3 the price of what it would have cost back home in Middlesborough.

Good on ya, we oughta charge these dopes $10 a bottle. These Euros should be coming here and contributing to our economy, after all we are fronting their defense and security from all of the evils of the world, much as we have for the last 90 years. Even with the small economic benefit to our merchants, I am thankful the Eurotrashers are not too ubiquitous in our City. The smoking ban helps assure that. These human smoke stacks include cigarettes as part of their wardrobe. Now if we could ban leather pants too it would ensure that I would have scant chance of encountering a Euromoron on my daily journeys about town.

Disappointed

I am disappointed in the posters on this board. Last night the most substantive questionwas a request for shoe advice. I stepped in and gave good practical advice, as is my wont.

Today, expecting no more than the reciprocal I asked if Michael Jackson's chin had new work. Surely some of you have followed his face and knew the answer. I received not one answer.

Thank you all.

PS who was go go wolf 3?

This wins a prize:
  • Paris Hilton's boyfriend is also named Paris. You know she wants to scream her own name in bed.

I can't come up with a good Iliad joke, but it's only because Paris Hilton, and anyone she comes into contact with, isn't worthy of my Iliad jokes.

Do you have a stockpile of them?

Two elephants are in a bathtub. One elephant says, "pass the soap." So the other elephant says, "no soap -- Agamemnon."

Fret not. Even our tongue's greatest wits have proven unequal to that task.
  • Here various Kinds by various Fortunes led,
    Commence Acquaintance underneath a Shed.
    Triumphant Tories, and desponding Whigs,
Forget their Fewds and join to save their Wigs.
Box'd in a Chair the Beau impatient sits,
    While Spouts run clatt'ring o'er the Roof by Fits;
And ever and anon with frightful Din
The Leather sounds, he trembles from within.
So when Troy chair-men bore the Wooden Steed,
Pregnant with Greeks, impatient to be freed.
(Those Bully Greeks, who, as the Moderns do,
Instead of paying Chair-men, run them thro'.)
Laoco'n struck the Outside with his Spear,
And each imprison'd Hero quak'd for Fear.

    --- Swift, "A Description of a City-Shower," 1710.

It scares me when I agree with you. He is my favorite guy: he looks cool, sounds cool and seems to be using actual good vocal technique.

My sister said something similar about you, except not about spinning or being impressed.
