my firm doesn't allow jeans either...but they have instances where if you donate to a spec. charity you can wear them.

I can't even imagine a world in which people don't wear jeans on Friday. I think I've done the business casual thing for about 6 years now. I tend to think that even business casual is a bit much. I'm looking for a career (job even) that does not require business casual. 2 more years practicing law. Max.

The only issue is that sometimes people look too casual and start bordering on ridiculous. we share elevators with both ad/pr firms and an ent. magazine and they so very hard try to be all downtown with really, mixed sloppy results. Some look like total slobs, others look retarded. leggings, a skirt, and lucite platforms in a patent leather look ridiculous.

most of the ladies I've seen in Canada are naked at their workplace. Except for the ones who bring the drinks. they are casually dressed.
