Cracker Jack toys that were actual toys, not just slips of paper with crap printed on it, and cereal toys with tiny chokeable metal and plastic parts.
Also, Reggie Bars. I always thought they should've made a Catfish bar too, but can understand now why that might not be easily marketable.

It seems to have lost is allure when translated to the web.
What about those hand-held football (baseball, basketball, etc.) games? You know, with the little led's that are would-be tacklers?
As for other icons:
The dunkin' donuts "time to make the donuts" guy
The maytag repairman.
The Solid Gold dancers
John Davidson, Cathy Lee Gifford, and Fran Tarkenton

Saw this recently... in a bid to revive the franchise, a Battlestar Galactica video game will be released this fall. A DVD release of old episodes is also planned...

From Disney?
I'm the baby, gotta love me.
Not the daddy.
I passed my talking doll of the Sinclair baby on to my son -- he hates it.
Edit: After reading the later posts, I must have the wrong dinosaur. I was thinking of the Disney program Dinosaurs which was actually a late 80s thing I think. I have the doll though just the wrong decade.

Hell, I felt old when I got to college and every childhood boardgame was available as a shareware (i.e., freeware) game for the computer.

I have a blow-up Sinclair dinosaur that we used to use like an inner tube in the water.

If Wonk is using Depends to toss anybody's salad, he has other issues . . .

Lost cultural treasures
Really? I, uh, heard that there was a DVD of the first couple of episodes rolled into one. From the original Cylon attack (and death of Rick Springfield *sniff*) to the paradise type planet where they caught onto the ambush. If the rest of them come out before December, I know several someones who will get them for Christmas.

let's forget BBIII and after.
Doesn't he still do play by play for the Celtics?
Speaking of which, while I know it's been observed before, how did Pat O'Brien go from hosting the NBA finals "on CBSSSSS" to Access: Hollywood? Who's next, Bill Walton hosting that show? "That's a terrible dress, Brittney. What were you thinking?"

No, although I did love the show. Sinclair was an oil company that disappeared in the 70s and their mascot was this kelly green dinosaur. The stations regularly gave away blow-up versions. With no front or rear entry.
