Best. Headline. Ever.
And confirmation that The Sebby Diet really works:
"obese people were about 25 percent less likely to abuse drugs or alcohol than slimmer participants."

However (and this pains me, because I hate the Red Wings), the man wore the C on his sweater continuously from Iran-Contra until this week, and even Mess-ee-aaa can't come close to that.

And before that he was the captain of the esteemed Peterborough Petes of the OHL. Go Petes Go!

Which is a lesson Ben Wallace might realize in a few years- and yes I'm bummed- I'm happy the guy got his paycheck but there wasn't that much difference in the offers, PLUS he was getting national ads lately and he won't as part of an also ran team.
Are the cell phone ads with Ben Wallace being late to walk on the court national? there is a feel that maybe the company does one for each market- other towns-did you see Ben in that commercial?
And is Lebron pissed, or was Cleveland just completely capped?
|
(A) It is a shame for the Pistons, although John Thompson thinks they will adjust better to the loss of Ben than he will adjust to being in Chicago (that was before the Bulls got Posey).
(B) Those ads have been running in the DC area.
(C) Did I miss something? Cleveland offered him a max contract, He hasn't responded -- I can see why that makes them nervous.

Quaint Scottish expressions aside, Vieira has scored twice, more than any Italian player except Toni. I think it is more likely that France's second goal will come from Henry, but I would not rule Vieira out.

Watching the highlights of the game last night I thought to myself, how can France possibly win the world cup with a goalie who repeatedly looks clueless so frequently. I also thought, after seeing him handle that free kick, that he should be wearing a pink hat.

Hmm. Shall we have an on-line gambling type wager on this issue? Month of board sponsorship? Admins & mods, what do you say? Penske's socks need a loving home. Or a hating home. Whatever.

I think Hank was referring to Cleveland not making a serious play for Ben Wallace and whether or not LeBron was pissed about that. There has not been much in the local paper about it, so I don't know what LeBron's thoughts are.

He looks a little like Bob Mould, so I cut him some slack. I want to hand him a guitar and ask him to sing "Celebrated Summer" or something.

Other than the shaved head, he looks nothing like Peter Garrett.
