Homesick like you'd rather be at home than working or homesick like I want to go back to where I grew up/where my parents live? If it is the former, I am right there with you. If it is the latter, you've lost me. (though it could have something to do with the fact that the holidays are approaching.)

No, this board is all about how I am a shitheel of a human being but fundamental decency dictates you fucking defend those that are close to you like a feral dog.
Fine. Then it's clear that fundamental decency dictates that I defend RT against your bullshit.

You see, I do that too (brother in law and two nieces), but it does not necessarily result in stammering and backpedalling. Instead it frequently results in such crap as "oh, yeah? Well, I work with a black guy and he tells me jokes just like that one!" or some crap like that. People can be real assholes.

I don't get this. I don't feel the need to explain to people why I think racist humor sucks, because my dislike of it wouldn't be any greater if it were personal or lesser if it weren't.

Of course the dislike is not greater. I don't think that is what Coltrane is saying and it's condescending of you to make that assumption. It's just a way to attempt to get someone to shut up and to maybe make them use their heads.

This is the closest one I've found.

If you'd like, I'm sure we would all be willing to put our quotations before the periods for you.

For example "he is as gay as a chorus line". But calling someone a faggot as a putdown is a bit strange to hear on this board because it implies there is something wrong with being a homosexual. However, with that sort of put down, or with racist comments, I think the people that say such things are putting themsevles down more than anyone else (although they usually don't have the grey matter to understand that). Calling someone an "effing faggot" is just the same as saying "I am a moron".

Anyway, that is my opinion.
Thanks for the tag line. I was confused otherwise.

I am quite sure this board is the farthest thing from being all about anything about you.

It is usually effective when I say it. Then again, I haven't heard a racist comment/joke in a very long time.

The "aristocratic Mexican" thing came from a night where Shape Shifter, evenodds and I were at a bar with some of evenodds' friends, and one of them started going off about Mexicans as laborers. I let him ramble for a few minutes before pointing out that, I, in fact, am of Mexican descent.

Oh.

"Well, you know I was talking about the peasant Mexicans. You're clearly an Aristocratic Mexican. That's totally different."

Yep. They (a) might feel horribly, and/or (b) may think twice before they do it again. I do it for the same reason that I beat my wife after she talks back.

I think they have a couple other ones in Connecticut, but you can enter where you are going into that store locator site and see all the locations within 10 miles (or kilometers, if you prefer).

Did he think that you were a Mexican with eurpoean lineage instead of native american?
