I think it echoes what a lot of thinking liberals feel about 43. Namely, we have nothing against Resolve. We just don't like it to be the only admirable attribute our president displays. Bush may be the only candidate in the last few decades to get a "bounce" from the other Party's convention.

Kerry's speedy delivery, combined with his cold presence didn't win anyone over on initial view.

All these Vietnam-era references must absolutely choke all those Vets that remember him from his "baby-killer" testimony. Just wait until all those Swift-Boat vets stand up and bad mouth him.

Once the pundits dissect the text - cliche after cliche, when not uber-pandering to the base - he's gonna fall like a rock.
