The key to dieting isn't cutting out anything. You can't be wistful for any particular kind of food. That's why Weight Watchers works.
I did Weight Watchers a while ago, because I still had baby weight to lose and I wanted to be where I wanted to be when I got my boobs done. I lost just shy of 30 pounds in just over 8 months and have more or less maintained that now for a couple of years.
I eat what I want. I eat a cupcake. I eat a piece of pizza. I eat waffles with dtb and donuts and quacamole.
But I don't eat like that every day and I don't overeat like that, and if I have a cupcake at lunch, I am more likely to pay more attention at dinner.
It's about balance. If you are mindful of your eating, think about what it is that is making you eat, think about whether you really want that [insert trigger food here], and really only splurge on things that will be meaningful to you, you can cut calories fairly easily. Add a 20 minute walk once a day and you're totally going to lose weight.
But better than that, you're going to develop a whole new relationship with food and your body that will really surprise you.
You have to change the way you think. Nothing else will make you lose the weight.

I've never had donuts with guacamole. Do you use it as a dipping sauce?

Your musical recommendations suck too. The Ponys were far from insipid.

someone might point out to RP that there is a very basic difference between illogic, and a logical flaw. That somone should have been a High School teacher, and unfortunately I do not have the required certificate.
sorry to be a timmy.

Your avatar looks uncannily like my father in that image (yes, he is a man of the cloth).

can anyone point to the logical flaw in RP relying on this fact to support her assertion she is better equipped than i am to argue logic?

Sppon was fine. On the one hand, my expectations were pretty low, so they definitely exceeded them. On the other, I was exhausted by the time they got on, so I was a little distracted. I thought the singer was good, and I think the songs are well-written. They just don't set me on fire. But they are a popular group these days. Back to back nights at First Avenue. I am not sure if they ended up selling out last night, but it was definitely crowded.
As for the Hold Steady, it is not my favorite band, but it is certainly not a "flat bar band." So, I guess Sebastian is wrong again. I am a little annoyed by Craig Finn's voice and I am not crazy about all of their songs. But Ollie is right that they are great live, and Finn is an excellent front man. Totally 3D.
