Ex is going to be at a party I am attending that evening. I have a friend make a call (this was in the days before caller ID -- yes, I am a dinosaur) telling him that she's always admired him from afar, and really wants to meet him, etc.
He mentions the party, and would she like to come. She agrees. She tells him she's tall, blonde and will be wearing a red dress.
Well, don't you know (and this proves that the gods were smiling upon me -- and he deserved it!), a tall, blonde, very beautiful girl I know (but not well -- she was not at all in on this plan) shows up to the party in a red dress. He, of course, assumes she's the one who called him, and makes his move, she rebuffs him (probably thinking he's some sort of lunatic -- not without cause), and my friends and I watch from the sidelines. Of course, we then let it get around how it was all a prank, and he was quite embarrassed (and more than just a little pissed with me, I don't mind telling you).
Much screaming and yelling ensued, loud argument in front of everyone where I cut him down to size*, and all in all, it was most satisfactory. [I had forgotten all about this -- I'm getting all tingly now just with the memory of it -- this kind of mojo only happens on sitcoms.]
(God, I hope he doesn't read this board -- eh, who cares...)
*I sure hope this wasn't an instance akin to Homer Simpson's, to wit: "Then I slipped out of my wet clothes and into a dry martini...." -- even if it was, it's no matter, because the memory in my mind's eye is perfection itself.

It is my understanding that when blonde in the red dress witnessed the scene, she decided there must be something in him to inspire such spite.
I also understand that she was really hot...

What really happened between Cheney and Lahey
The truth is out there: “Oh, snap!” Mr. Kennedy recalls thinking at the time. “It’s getting kind of hectic up in this piece.”

Oh, she was really hot. (Probably still is.)
And no; there was nothing in him -- he just did something really mean to me, and I had to have revenge. He was also a disgusting drunk. I heard he's since dried up. I passed him on the street about 10 years ago (here in TCOTU). We looked each other in the eye, and each of us just kept on walkin' without saying a word. Not a lot of love lost there, you might say.

blondes and red (orange) bikinis
Blockbuster has picked its best beach scenes.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,126175,00.html
first is a blonde with tan swimsuit
Second a non-blond with red (orange) swimsuit
3rd a blond with a red swimsuit
I thought Bo's looked kind of beat in 10. There's got to be a better for 3rd.

Oh, come now, after what you did to him?
Yes, she was very, very hot.

Number 5.
The beach scene they missed was the surfing scene in Apocalypse Now. Best beach scene. Ever.
But maybe not what they were going for, given the lack of bikinis.

Now that's what I call fair and balanced. Or at least balanced.

Isn't the Halle Berry scene essentially the same as the scene from Dr. No?

I take it you mean the movie, 'cuz in Dr. No the book, Honey Ryder comes out of the water naked, and upon spotting Bond covers her hoo-ha and, instead of her boobies, her nose in what later becomes a minor plot point.
One of the many times I've wished the Bond movies were more faithful to the books.

Yes, an homage.
Too bad John Derek died. He could have married Halle and hit the trifecta.

So Blockbuster says that the best beach scene ever is the scene from Dr. No (the movie, Atticus). And the second best beach scene ever is the homage to that scene.
That seems fucked up. Like saying Corey Feldman is the best Corey. And that Corey Haim is the second best.

Who would you put forward for best Corey then? Corey Hart?
