I know, take it to the Jane Fonda workout board

What are the reasons for

(1) cardio before you lift weights

or

(2) cardio after you lift weights.

I've heard of people doing both and logic for both, but I can't recall

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Cardio after you lift weights, because you'll have more energy for weight lifting that way and are less likely to hurt/strain. Plus, cardio is fucking boring, and weight training is fun, so if you get tired on the elliptical, you can just stop and go get a fruit smoothie.

Well, let me think, maybe it was cardio first, so that you'll be extra sweaty and slimy when you use the weight machines, much to the pleasure of the people who follow you? Because those are the only two rationales I've heard, but the personal trainers at Bally's aren't especially bright.

that is consistent with what I have heard. But I don't think it really makes much of a difference.

Don't know about exchanging links, but I'd be interested in their "Competition of compositive knowledge."

eta: Can Hank come too? He could benefit from the "Special course after class."
