More cow news

A Friesian cow took a detour from a wedding where she was meant to be a guest of honor, wandering into a German bank where she was caught on security cameras sidling up to the tellers.
The cow was supposed to be taking part in a nearby wedding ceremony when it wandered into the bank. When farmers in the rural region marry, the new bride traditionally milks a cow to prove her skills in the homestead economy.

I'm so glad I didn't have to milk anything (please, no snide responses) at my wedding.

Channelling Atticus

the use of "countenance" was proper - http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=countenance .

In other news, I have detemined that I do not understand most of what anyone says who constantly peppers their speech with the phase "you know what I'm saying?" I think this makes me officially old.

Hank-

Just how do you do it? Do you have some special avatar software? Are you a wiz with Photoshop? Do you have friends in high places (the graphics guy/gal in IT)?

I love your altered avatars.

Yes. So if you already hit the limit you get to start paying again. I know because it happened to me and I was a bit miffed at the time.

When you file your tax return next year you get it back (assuming you don't otherwise owe additional income taxes to offset it).

On the way into work today, I saw a "Big 4 Rents"* van that had been vandalized (shocked! shocked!) so it changed this logo:

to this:

For some reason, this has made me chuckle all day. For some reason.

*A local rental concern, which apparently decided to name itself after the collective nickname of four notorious local robber barons (Stanford, Huntington, Crocker and Hopkins).

No, I missed that. Post a link and quote the entire article, and then we'll talk.

I was cleaning Atticus's pool at the time, and will tell you confidentially that he laughed so hard that the cognac came out his nose and he dropped his riding crop.

I think he tries and set valid rules, that provide real valuable structure. A board without rules would quickly become Gangsta.
