Wrong again. If everything that people were interested in were matters of public interest, then newspapers would have been filled with the details of the cabal of pedophiles operating a sex trafficking ring within the United States government. Because there were a lot more people who were REALLY interested in that than were interested in Hunter Biden’s laptop. There would also be lots of stories about the details of various online gaming matters, pornography sites, and all sorts of things that lots of people are super interested in, but that we don’t consider to be of public interest.

This place is unique in a) we have mutually agreed upon ground rules that are fundamental, mainly based on anonymity (though I'd say most of us are out to pretty much everyone else at this point), b) a very small population that has not increased in over 15 years, c) a deep seeded understanding that fucking up by pushing too far could destroy the whole place and no one really wants to do that.
That said, if one of you started issuing credible threats (death or otherwise, ie outing) to one of our community members, I'd probably get involved. I probably wouldn't do it unilaterally, but it would entirely depend on the circumstances.
ETA: Given the nature of the forum, banning people for spouting dangerous bullshit would pretty much eliminate the entire population.

I'm prepared to move my twitter account to any forum moderated by Replaced Texan.

I've got to say, the more I see posted on this the less interested I get.
If I am to understand this, one of the things that deeply distresses our boy from PA is that somewhere twitter took down or limited the circulation of a NY Post article on Hunter Biden. My understanding is the event occurred because they weren't sure whether it depended on illegally accessed information and was later reversed, but, frankly, (yawn).
So this all comes down to whether or not the NY Post, which has a journalist record roughly equivalent to the voices in my crazy Aunt Edna's head, has a right to have it's stuff always broadcast and never questioned.
Ok, great, lovely. I hope the absolutism will also extend to those seeking to unionize Tesla or Twitter or to the poor Cooley associate Musk wanted shitcanned.
But, anyway, carry on. I guess if the public is interested. (Yawn).

It sounds like you are consuming a lot of tabloid journalism. Or, you have a particular interest in porno and sex trafficking. Are you one of those groomers we've been hearing about (NTTAWWT)?

Isn't Twitter itself a porn site?

And yet the contents of this laptop are not newsworthy?
This is not the hill on which to die. You aren't winning that argument in any forum that has ever existed or ever will. Except maybe Twitter in 2020.

I haven't paid attention to it. What was on there that was newsworthy?

Right, except Hank didn't say everything in which people were interested. He was referring specifically to one thing in which people were interested. And that one thing involved a few people who were kind of public figures and kind of involved in a contest the public kind of found a little important at the time, considering one was running for president and the other was his kid.

Bunch of videos and pics of Hunter fucking hookers and doing blow and crack. And a bunch of emails which discussed his business dealings on some board in Ukraine for which he was paid 50 grand a month or something like that. Also a bunch of stuff about borrowing or investment capital received from Ukraine by some hedge fund in which he was a partner.
The FBI is currently investigating him for a variety of things tied to the type of info found on that laptop.
https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/30/polit...-up/index.html CNN says the FBI has had the laptop since 2019.
Nothing to see here. Not newsworthy. Move along.
I actually stated here and still conclude that this story should have had no bearing on voters in 2020. Hunter's a fucked up kid, and unless his dad was dumb enough to get involved with his business dealings, which I doubt, this is not relevant to a presidential election.
But I'm not everyone. A whole lot of people think this stuff is important, for their own reasons. And even if it weren't an election year, this stuff is objectively newsworthy.

Note nothing Sebby says here implicates the Prez, at the very worst, assuming Sebby hasn't just been inhaling strange stuff in the fever swamps, there's a "billy carter" issue here. He admits it should have nothing to do with the election, but thinks it should nonetheless be amplified by every site trying to deliver some degree of legitimate news. And he's really upset twitter suppressed some stuff from Aunt Edna's voices, excuse me, the NY Post.
Now ask Sebby anything about the wee trumper's dealings while actually working in the white house.
