My firm has tight-asses. And isn't a town populated by German and Polish immigrants.

On a recent visit to Munich, I took the BMW factory tour. Apparently under Bavarian (or German) law, the workers are entitled to one beer (1/2 litre) with their meal, each shift. Now, that's labor rights.

All-Star Survivor

In response to the question about who these people were and where they finished, see my interlineations. Oh, and thanks to NCS for this priceless bit of info. There goes the rest of my day. However, how Mark Burnett divides them into tribes will go a long way towards determining who wins. No matter what, I think Richard Hatch and Rupert both have big targets on their back.

Apparently the list is out for the all-star season. The place that I read it called this a spoiler, though I don't really view it as one. In any event, I'll put in spoiler space for anyone who is overly sensitive about this sort of thing...

Here is the list (broken down by season):

1: Rudy Boesch (4th place, old military guy), Richard Hatch (1st place, Survivor-savant), Susan Hawk (3d place, the Mercutio of her season), Jenna Lewis (6th place? Pretty and fun).

2: Amber Brkich (5th place; more eye candy-under the radar), Alicia Calaway (9th or 10th place - robo-tough chick), Colby Donaldson (2d place. Set the standard for beefcake), Jerri Manthey (7th or 8th place. Ditto for "bitch"), Tina Wesson (1st place - never received a single vote against her)

3: "Big Tom" Buchanan (3d or 4th place - the likeable farmer), Lex Van den Berghe (3d or 4th place - the Santa Cruz aging skate punk), Ethan Zohn (the first jew to win).

4: Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien (3d place - deserved to win but got screwed by Neleh and Vecepia's treachery), Rob Mariano (aka Boston Rob. I think he finished about 8th or 9th place, but perhaps as high as 4th. Very funny guy).

5: Shii Ann Huang (9th or 10th place. The NY asian chick who didn't fit in. Kind of a Jun-lite).

6: Rob Cesternino (3d or 4th place. Able to convince people to form and reform new alliances to rise up against whoever was then in power. Brilliant). Jenna Morasca (winner, swimsuit model whose hotness is much in question)

7: Rupert Boneham (appears to be well on his way to winning the current game, unless Christina and Sandra get their act together)

Forgive me for not keeping track, str8, but what's your accuracy rate on reality TV predictions? I recall having noted at least once that you were right.

Edited to note that this is a sincere question. I am thinking of taking up gambling.

Just sit back and enjoy her wonderfulocity.
But why oh why has she gone all "summer blonde" with the black eyebrows look?
Didn't she look more, umm, natural before that? Or is Vickie trying to make us all think of summer bleachs.

Edited to add that I guess I'm taking Paigow's place today in criticizing an obviously beautiful woman who, if I had a choice, I would trade bodies with her in a New York minute, notwithstanding the hair dye.

Hey, if you can't stand the snow, move out of the heartland - or wherever it is that you live.
If it makes you feel any better, at least you have a job...

MONTGOMERY, Ala., Nov. 13 — Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, whose refusal to obey a federal order to move a Ten Commandments monument from a state building fueled a national debate over the place of God in public life, was stripped of his office Thursday.

Moore, who was halfway through his six-year term, had been suspended since August but was allowed to collect his $170,000 annual salary. Under Thursday’s decision, the governor will appoint someone to serve the rest of his term.

Speaking of blondes, Tina is no longer with us. I do not know if she just decided to leave the pool to return to her dumpster or if she left with another man. She was mysterious that way.

Did you inform the authorities that your precious Tina had mysteriously vanished from the pool and that you suspect foul play? You should start by canvassing the neighbors.

Now, on to gossip....Hugh Grant says he’s found a kindred weirdo in “Love Actually” co-star Billy Bob Thornton. “Billy Bob Thornton and I got on well,” Grant said while promoting the flick, “because he’s pervy and depraved. I don’t think he’d mind me saying that.”

Nov. 13 — Lawyers for Paris Hilton are working overtime to stop distribution of that homemade porn video, but even as the attorneys make legal threats, a mini-industry of Paris Hilton porn has sprung up on eBay.

“THIS IS THE video everybody has been waiting for!!!!” reads a typical listing. “Paris Hilton and Rick Solomon having hot sex in bed... features Paris enjoying sex in almost every position imaginable!

OK, having not seen the video (and I'm no Thrasher, I'm not afraid of nekkidness just afraid of the IT nazis) I don't believe you guys disclosed that she was having "hot sex" in "every position imaginable." What's this, false advertising, or are you guys dropping the ball. So to speak.

Snow is a fact of life in these parts. It's not that I can't stand it. I've dealt with it most of my life. In fact, I generally enjoy the change of seasons and don't particularly mind snow. I'm just not ready for it yet, especially since we experienced such a notSummer this year.

And besides, if I moved somewhere else, I'd have to tell everyone I met there that "I'm NotFromHere", and I'm sure we both don't want that.

Jenna has grown on me and I think she's very worthy. I'm sad that Andrew Savage didn't make the cut from the current season.

My prediction for a winner: Tina Wesson.
The teams are believed to breakdown as follows:

S

P

O

I

L

E

R

Three tribes:

Blue: Ethan Zohn, Rudy Boesch, Rupert Boneham, Jenna Lewis, Jerri Manthey, Tina Wesson

Green: Richard Hatch, Colby Donaldson, Lex Van den Berghe, Jenna Morasca, Shii Ann Huang, Kathy O'Brien

Red: Rob Mariano, Rob Cesternino, Tom Buchanan, Alicia Calaway, Amber Brkich, Susan Hawk

Rich, Colby and Lex will be tough to beat at challenges. Putting the two Robs on the same team with Susan and Alicia is brilliant. Jenna and Jerri will fight over Ethan. Hilarity should ensue.

Apparently the bra is incredibly easy to remove. In fact, it unhooked itself on Heidi's jacket on the Tonight Show. As impressive as that is, my first thought (okay my second thought after "Santa, I know what I want for Christmas) is how painful the matching thong must be. That and who has the job of polishing the stones.

Where I am originally from, an area that yearly competes for the snow/cold/ice capital of the country, people always say that -- "it would suck to live where the seasons don't change and Christmas is not white."

Of course, those who have fled the godforsaken frozen tundra for warmer climes always say "that's the bullshit you say when you got no choice." Sort of like poor folks who say that rich people are unhappy.

I am happy to go on the record and say that I do not miss snow..not now, not at Christmas, not ever. I do not miss having my entire body start to hurt from the cold as I went from house to car and back again. I do not miss shoveling. I do not miss any of it.

Good day.

People don't say that where I'm from. That's why the canadian dollar is legal tender in some parts of Florida.

Yes, my snowbird parents live amongst many of your kind on a golfcourse in "the state that resembles a limp penis." Funny thing about those folks, they never seem to run out of shit with Wayne Gretzky on it somewhere to give to my son when he wanders around the neighborhood.
