No shit. Dick Vitale all but said he wanted to suck off Laettner while getting done by Hurley.
Whats funniest about Duke is when you root against them, people say you're just jealous. Fuck that shit. I never applied there and never wanted to go there.
That I probably wouldn't have gotten into Duke has nothing to do with it.

All get way too much credit for being "good schools" if you ask me. I mean, sure, Duke is maybe the best school in North Carolina, but it is still just North Carolina. |

Stanford is a pretty damn good school. Duke is not in the same league with Stanford, IMO.
Note to assshole who googles USNews and shows me a stat proving Duke is only three ranks below Stanford, "I don't give a fuck. That's why I said 'IMO'."
I was told I should apply to GTown. If I'm good enough for it, its got no business parading itself around as a top shelf school.
In hindisght, I should have applied to GTown. I love the area and would probably have done something productive there.

I'm pretty sure that John Thompson licensed the Georgetown brand from the school for basketball purposes quite some time ago.

I'm not even sure what he means by that. They're both pretty good schools. And they both graduate a fairly high number of their players.

I'm not sure I follow you, but if your point w/r/t Duke and georgetown is that they get too much credit for being good schools with good basketball programs (because those things are somehow uncompatible or something I guess?), please let me be the first to point out to you that Georgetown's basketball program sucks Thurgreed's dick. And, with the demise of the Big East as we know it, it will never be good again. |

Well, mostly I'm just giving Gatti shit. And for various reasons I've never really liked Stanford or Georgetown. But I do actually think that Georgetown is genuinely overrated as a school. (And that American is underrated. I went to neither but have had a lot of contact with people at both places.) Just my opinion. |
