The End

Rear end of the Britney-Spears-giving-birth statue. Apologies in advance.

  • Wondering what the Britney Spears birthing monument looks like from the back? Of course not, but here it is anyways. I wasn't sure if this was considered safe for work or not, but I figured it'd be alright considering it's just stone. But, uh, if all of you end up getting fired it's not my fault. Blame Britney Spears and her horribly disgusting vagina.

It's not uncommon for golfers to lose their swings, but this bad?

I don't think he should retire, though. If you're good enough to play on the tour every year, do it. Great way to make money.

It makes no sense. He was #1 in the world at one time.

I love the "no cellphones" rule at the CC of Detroit.

All those swing and body (and I think equipment) changes to keep up with Woods really fucked him up.

Either that, or he's a total headcase.

Ya don't know me as well as you think you do.

I'm usually so far out on the gossip chain that information is pretty much public before I hear it. But it's good to know who to go to when you really need to know what's going on. It can be career saving.

He's not lazy. If it were not for all the illegal immigrants in the country depressing wages, I'm sure he'd gladly stop three-putting the Par 3s. Ship the illegals back and pay the man a liveing wage.

You should avoid it second only to participation in the endless school fund raising sales sitting in the kitchen.
As I told Thurgreed, I'm usually the last to hear anything. But you have to pay attention just enough to make sure you aren't stepping on the toes of people who are having affairs with the people who can stomp you to smithereens. And I know this from a near miss CLM.

In other news, t-minus 20 days to "The Greatest Festivals of Europe" and we got word that we got tickets to all three U.S. World Cup games!

My work environment can be a little poisonous, so I tend to keep to myself as much as possible. As a result, I am the last to know anything. Last year, I was in meeting with a group I accountants I do a lot of work for. After a holiday weekend, I asked if anyone had done anything exciting. The group kind of got quiet, and one of the women said, "Uh, yeah. I got married."

I was a little surprised, because I thought she was married already, but I just went with the flow and congratulated her. Everybody sort of remained quiet, so to make conversation I asked who the lucky guy was. The group lead, sitting at the end of the table said, "That would be me, I guess."

It was a little embarrassing, not being in the know beforehand. But it had no adverse impact on my career, and I didn't have to buy them a present. Win-win, I'd say.

While not a classic European ongoing European festival, this could be a fun and weird time if you find yourself within striking distance of Scotland on the solstice:

What can you say besides, "Thanks for the invite."

At least you have me around to inform you of the weddings of your ex-outside-counsel and such. I'm doing my best to keep you in the loop.

I don't participate in gossip at my current firm, but I would be surprised if there was much gossip to be had. Pretty humdrum, we-all-have-our-own-lives-away-from-here-so-we-don't-care-what-the-hell-you-are-doing sort of a place. I participated in some, and was the subject of much (I'm sure), gossip at my last firm. I prefer the set-up at the new place.
