Somewhat. But it does seem odd to categorically thrash a city for what would appear to be a set of circumstances that are, if not exactly odd, unlikely to be repeated by many.

Except for the not realizing the sidewalk would be hot thing. That's just weird.

Please pay attention. I cannot believe I have to spell this out. My one sentence story covered all of Phoenix's problems:

1) Marie Callender's is a typical restuarnat

2) Its so clean you can sit on the sidewalk, which has that post-pynchonian thing that OC suffers from

3) Its so hot you can burn your ass on the sidewalk.
