And now I won't be able to enjoy Seinfeld. And of course I can't enjoy Days of Thunder any more because Tom Cruise is such a fucking nutcase.
I'm kidding about Days of Thunder.
I guess the only one I am able to get past and enjoy the art/entertainment is Wagner. Despicable as a person, but I'm still able to forget that and enjoy the opera.

I like Days of Thunder. How can you not like a movie that features a leading character named "Cole Trickle"?

Art is a poor imitation of life, then, what with NASCAR driver Dick Trickle.

Someone should tell that driver he can get shots for that these days. Science is a wonderment.

Ever just "need" a Wagner fix? Sometimes, I just have to hear the Flying Dutchman.

wow. can't believed you posted again. Someone told you about the new "no hate" rules so you figured you'd be safe?
You better keep your head low. The new rules are just that we can't make fag jokes. I believe people can still insult the small-dicked and impotent.

Yes -- I go to Wagner more than any of my other recordings of operas. Mostly Tristan and Isolde. Maybe it is because he's so bombastic and that helps defuse/diffuse (? -- both seem appropriate) my stress.

I was thinking of you today. Parent/teacher conferences are tonight and I plan to get confirmation that they don't let unaccompanied adults use the bathroom.

Unaccompanied? I would be willing to have a hall monitor escort me.

Wow. That was horrible. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm very disappointed. He was one of my all-time favorite characters. This sucks.

The sweeping movements in his stuff make it seem "bigger" than most composer's stuff. It's like the heavy metal of classical music, if that makes any sense. I'd like to see Ring in theory, but I kind of feel like I might need a fast forward button. Isn't the full thing 3 days?
I'm surprised nobody's done a movie about Richard Wagner. Seems like a perfect controversial subject for a graphic indie film.

For a man who favored the company of young boys, he wrote some awfully masculine music. Nice to see Ted Haggards aren't a phenomenon of our culture alone... Or maybe Wagner was like the Village People of his genre/era?

Could be worse. Consider how much money Jerry just lost in future syndication value.
