Maybe I'm naive but Pammy and Tommy must have gone to some really skanky tattoo parlors. All the tattoo and body piercing parlors that I've been to (admittedly only in California) have stressed that the needles used are sterilized and/or single-use, and they make a great show out of producing instruments that are in industrial-strength sealed bags like those used in medical facilities. So I've never been able to quite connect the dots when Pammy has given the "ole dirty shared needle" reason for contracting Hep-C. Maybe in my old age I'm getting cynical.

good news, Survivor fans

Jenna and Heidi from Survivor:The Amazon will be in August's issue of Playboy.

Please note that this information is provided as a public service, and that I'd rather be in a kayak. Thank you. That is all.

Seeing them for a broken toe may not be helpful, but seeing them for a broken toenail is downright harmful. The fucker may try to remove it. Which involves local anesthesia and pain laced Tylenol doesn't help. And people wonder about health care inflation. Wearing open toed shoes will clear the nail right up, but THAT doesn't allow overtreating MDs to extract as much from patients and insurance companies.

I see the MDs for stitches and casts, when necessary. It's been I don't know how many years since I've seen one for anything else.

Man arrested in huge eBay fraud

Buyers criticize auction site’s seller verification service
June 12 — Police in South Salt Lake, Utah, are working with eBay to determine just how many people were victimized by what authorities say was one of the biggest frauds in the auction site’s history. Police arrested 31-year-old Russell Dana Smith last weekend after hundreds of auction winners complained that they sent $1,000 or more to a company named Liquidation Universe for laptop computers they never received. Police say the firm appears to have raked in $1 million from about 1,000 victims in just a few weeks. MEANWHILE, WOULD-BE buyers are also pointing the finger at SquareTrade, an eBay seller verification service, which had vouched for Liquidation Universe’s legitimacy — and, the buyers thought, offered a fraud guarantee.
Detective Darin Sweeten said Smith set up his Liquidation Universe shop in a tiny South Salt Lake strip mall in February.
“It was just a small business in a small strip mall. I know that he did not do any public walk-in traffic,” Sweeten said. The store sold exclusively on eBay.
Liquidation Universe, which actually began selling on eBay in October, received high marks until mid-May, said eBay spokesman Kevin Pursglove. In fact, it had 750 positive ratings from customers.

SQUARETRADE LOGO CALLED DECEPTIVE
Participating sellers pay a fee to SquareTrade, which then verifies the seller’s identity and provides a special, Good-Houskeeping type logo place on the auction listing.
But the logo, consumers say, was deceptive. It included the words “$1,000 protection.” Many consumers believed they would be reimbursed up to $1,000 if they ran into trouble with their auction. But actually, buyers have since learned, SquareTrade’s protection was capped at $1,000 per seller, not per buyer — leaving a tiny pool of cash to be spread among victims.
SquareTrade CEO Steve Abernathy did not return phone calls.
Anyone want a case?

Anyway, now I am afraid to go.
Am I going to have to put you on my "Take Care of Yourself" nag list too? Although thinking about being cut with a speculum makes me cross my legs in horror, and the gyno is not my idea of a good time, you really need to see your doctor for regular checkups. Find a doctor who is not going to cut you. And they make a smaller sized speculum too.

To remember, call on your birthday to make an appointment. It'll be one of those "good for you" presents to yourself.

I go, but not often enough. When I do go, I just pout a lot. I know they have smaller ones, the problem with that doctor is he made some assumptions about my sexual history based on my age. It was an emergency type situation, he didn't ask, I was a bit out of it and didn't offer him rather important information that would cause him to use a smaller one.

But damn, you are too perky for me. Good for me presents to myself?

On my birthday all I want to do is hide in the hopes that people won't make a big fuss about it. This is foremost on my mind because my birthday is quite soon and I fear what my officemates will do.

Hehe - reminds me of a case we had - she sued saying he had given her herpes and made a huge deal out of it and guess what - he didn't have it. She and her case slunk away pretty quickly after the test results came out.

I like the sideways reference to the Violent Femmes, but how can you have a list of favorite songs about TCB without "I Touch Myself" by the Divynls? Christina Amphlett has a great rock 'n roll voice, but fame eluded her in this country.

No, that's the Village Voice. NTTAWWT.
Funny. And I was rereading my post and wanted to clarify that I thought the Turning Japanese thing was funny in that I had no idea there was either a masturbation reference or that there was a racist term for masturbating even though I have known that song for like fifteen or twenty years or whatever. I just never totally understood it- the closest thing I could think of was that being Japanese meant you couldnt have fun bc they studied really hard in school or something- I was stretching for an explanation. Its funny that I was so innocent about it. I have come a long way baby.

And eerily enough. I saw that I love the eighties last night even though I have never seen the show. Deja rerun. We also probabl would not have Ancient Chinese Secret either, but then we probably would not have That Not So Fresh Feeling. the PC cops are ruining everythign.

Pam is still the hottest woman man ever made.
Ok, we will go with her and Benicio for the threeway. Or her and Angelina. Whatever.

I love those boots. Does anyone know who made them and where they can be purchased? Is there a wardrobe, such as it is, credit in the magazine archives? I want those boots. And I ahve a pair of Manolos that seem to be cut from the same cloth as her thong. NTTAWWT

Lately I have seen a lot of Pam on tv. I dont know if this is bc she is promoting something or if it is bc I just got E!. I was flipping through the dial and caught Pamela Anderson's Love Chain. Here is my problem with her. She was so absolutely absolutely stunning a few years back but now she is in the early stages of Faye Dunway with all of her work. I certainly hope she doesnt bc a man-reconstructed version of her former self. I am talking of her from the neck up btw. Maybe she can take a page from the Farrah Fawcett book- she appears t ostill be gorgeous without that overly plasticized look.

Amazing Race

Did anyone watch last night? What happened?

I completely missed it, though I returned home in time for most of the Summer SportsZone in time to hear the retelling of my favorite TdF moment.

The first year they included mountain stages, it took them so long to get over the first summit that the promoters thought the peloton had gone off the side of a cliff.

The first guy over the summit pushed his bike part of the way. The second guy looked at the promoters and spit "Assassins!" at them.

Because you can't see the hepatitis when she's sucking him off. It's about the blow job. You're just easily squicked. Who thinks about these things when they're watching porn? I bet when you don't think about various diseases a participant may be carrying in a porno, you ruin it for yourself by thinking about the completion of the sex act and the resulting children that will be born.
