Can you take this to the Midwest board please?

Couldn't Walmart subsidize the loss in groceries (pricing them even lower than grocers) by their profit from other products for five years or until they knock grocers out of business? Isn't that what huge companies do? Economies of scope?

Actually they do. Part of the Wal-Mart model is that they put enormous pressure on suppliers and wholesalers to give them product at a lower cost than anywhere else.

I haven't been there in a long time and mostly remember it as a place where black people would go to just chill without being subjected to booty music and all the club crap that goes on in black (or any) clubs.
Last night, I was overwhelmed by the number of asians in the jurnt. The ratio was like 8-1, asian to non-asian. Is this a new phenomenon? No complaints. Same vibe, really, as the last time I had been there. Just different looking people. It was kind of cool.
Anyone else notice this in other spots?

SPIF's are a way of life as long as the manufacturers and wholesalers are battling for share. Once that sector matures and (probably) monopolizes, only then will the price fight fall to the retail level. Wal-Mart hasn't yet convinced the SPIF-payors that thye are the next big distribution channel, and thus valid targets for the system.

I can't stop humming "American Pig," and its probably partly due to the fatties post...

No. I think the point is that they only get laid by other people who go to Walmart.
Ps. Don't try to pass off that Million Dollar bill there. They can't make change.

Why is it so irresistable to note recurring threads, as though spotting the recurrence is somehow revelatory, clever or interesting? There are only about maybe 50 worthwhile topics to post about, 5 of which create incendiary discourse which tends to liven an otherwise often dull forum. "Oh, here it comes again" is kind of like Jimmy Fallon's angry punk character on saturday Night Live who says "Oh, that's real cool" to everything, but can't even recall whether he's being sarcastic anymore.
Which begs the question, why are fatties so fucking stupid?
