No. Bush v. Gore was about one activist group trumping another. The supremes stomped on states' rights. They told the FL Court how its state election laws would be administered.

But they'll distinguish it from Roe with some absurd argument.

I'll at least concede that Roe was activism. You'll never hear any of the hard righters concede the same on Bush v. Gore.

I mean, no offense, but most conservatives I know just aren't that hot. Most Dems I know aren't that hot either, but there's a greater likelihood. I mean, just look at the women on this board: we've got RT, E/O and Fringy, you've got a guy in DC pretending to be a woman in SF. WTF?
I'm actually a woman. But with A-cups

I have nothing to add, but this needs to be said as many times as possible. Its one of the few unassailable facts thats come to light in this campaign, and its why you see every bush die hard on this board dance around the facts every time they're faced with them.

Interesting state calls, as Zogby shows their predicted margins. They include North Carolina among battleground states with Bush just eking out a victory - was this one winnable for Kerry? They don't include Virginia, which in polls has generally been a few points better for Kerry than North Carolina.

But they show Kerry with generally wider margins in his battleground victories than Bush has in his, and states like Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee as being very close. I know that the Arkansas and Arizona D's keep saying they could upset, but the state by state calls are still surprising to me.

I know this is a joke, but to the extent that it misrepresents Edwards' comments out of conttext, it highlights one of the main reasons I won't be voting GOP this time around.

The GOP refuses to debate anything honestly. Almost all of its attack ads this year have been mischaracterizations of Kerry comments. How can I vote for a party which so transparently misrepresents everything its opponent says and addresses hard issue questions with nothin but broad platitudes and fear mongering? There's a core intellectual dishonesty there which is frightening. Either the GOP thinks we're all too stupid to spots its bullshit, or its so stupid it doesn't know how transparent its shtick is. Either way, thats not a party I want in charge.

The GOP had a golden opportunity to nail Kerry on his lack of a plan in Iraq, but instead, it decided to cheaply twist his comments and paint him as an out of touch snob. Thats not a presidential political debate - thats an 8th grade class president campaign debate.

We just didn't believe that you could accomplish your Milk Money For Everclear campaign pledge. Get over it already.

I think the Bush campaign wanted to avoid the subject of Iraq and planning.

When do Repubs wash all the cars sitting on cinderblocks in their yards?
