Nah. Who would want to get out of gym? Gym was fun. I wanted to get out of French class - that teacher was creepy and he smelled.

I've been meaning to try one of those trendy viruses. I could really use a leave of absence. The "being allergic to everything and the stress and hours are agravating my allergies so here's the doctor's note on why I can't keep working a bazillion hours a week" hasn't worked so far.

Epstein-Barr, Epsom-Barr, whatever. I cannot be too concerned about the correct name for made up diseases. Epsting-Barr is a made-up disease used to diagnose people who are tried a lot. The nice thing about Epstroon-Barr is that you have this doctor-certified excuse for being tired and lazy. Do you sometimes feel like you need to take a nap in the afternoon? Get diagnosed with Epspoon-Barr, and not only are you allowed to take that nap. You have to! Doctor's orders!
Lactose-intolerance is the made-up disease for people who like to be pains in the asses in restaurants. That and people who are allergic or whatever to gluten.

More details, please? Did they tear each other's clothes off in the process?

Theories that I've heard mention vacines, chemicals in our enviroment, changes in diet, increased intake of processed foods and preservatives, etc. Can't remember where I saw it, but allergies are increasing in America/Europe at a much faster rate than in the third world.
All children should roll around in the dirt. It's good healthy fun.

That's why everyone rips on Whole Foods, [i.e. Whole Paycheck] but it is worth it to try to avoid some of those things.
I believe there are studies that correlate breast feeding and lack of food allergies.

Made up or not, this is one of the best scientific advances in the last 100 years:

Yeah, it makes you sound like a hip tree hugger type when you order a soy latte, but, in reality, you do it so that you don't have to run to the bathroom within 10 seconds of drinking a few sips of the version made with real milk and forgetting to load up on the scientific goodness above.

The cackling passive-aggressive secretary who sits outside my door is going in for her gastric-bypass surgery tomorrow. She's very excited and won't stop talking about it. Loudly. Actually, we all are pretty excited. It's an exciting time in my little corner of the world.

Theories I have heard mention a desire to be in with the cool peanut-allergic crowd. I guess that is actually just one theory I have heard. All the little socialites-in-training running around the UWS with their D&G Epi-pens.

4 different people have brought the same letter into my office asking me to "review it". All of them have slunk away when I inform them that I drafted it.
