For being 56 with his history the bod ain't too bad -- looks like he lifts a little bit. The face is utterly hideous, although, to his defense I will add that even in his prime Iggy was not what one would call a "looker." It must suck to be jealous of the physical appearance of the likes of Mick Jagger and Steven Tyler. Iggy just got the shitty end of the stick in the looks department and then somebody must have beat him about the head and neck with the same stick.

Bringing the conversation full circle, Iggy did a cover of "Well, Did You Evah" with Debbie Harry on one of those "Red, Hot & _____" benefit albums. The lasciviousness with which he sings "Have you heard that Mimsie Starr/Just got pinched in the Astor Bar?" is something to behold.

Rule's for running a web sight about grammer: have some one proofread you're site to make sure everything is alright and there's no grammatical mistakes like this one anywhere:
Farther: Physical distance.
Locked in the trunk of the speeding car, Blair's fear grew as he felt himself moving farther and farther away from rescue.

Iggy Pop was working food service at the Open???
(for those who didn't hear, the guy who did attack the Royals first base coach was credentialed to work at the Open...)
edited to add link to story:

In other ketchup matters:
1. Charlize, no contest. (We're talking about looks, not acting ability, right??)
2. BBD selling real estate -- One of the colleagues listed in the ad is a Mary Gill. Any relation to Johnny G? Still, at least he's working a respectable job and isn't lying in the gutter somewhere like a lot of washed up singers. Can't be good for his "street cred", whatever that is...
3. As for shirtlessness, just refer to my motto. Learn it, know it, live it...

who would have ever thought that being a heroin addict, baiting hell's angels to throw glass bottles at you and then rolling around in the broken glass, and intentionally cutting yourself with broken beer bottles on stage for 30 years would be bad for someone's appearance?
besides, well uh, anyone.

That's Red Hot & Blue, probably my favorite of the series. Jungle Brothers do a kick ass "I get a Kick Out of You".

I missed it the first time around. Hopefully I won't repeat that mistake...

There are only six episodes? That would explain my deja rerun at keep seeing the one where he is supposed to can everyone and take a promotion. So they are just repeating the six episodes for six nights? killer.
and iin other news, my gay neighbor told me I look very "classy" today. you would think a gay man would know better than to use that word.

Bad news for lovers of hottie tennis players
Anna is out with her injury du journikova, as is my beloved Carfos Moya and Tommy Haas. Also, Monica is not playing, which may very well signal that this is her last year. And the sisters can meet in the Wimby final tho Venus is down to no. 4. I predict the Williams will meet in the final.

Sallie Mae F##ck Up

Did any else out there get bit in the ass courtesy of Sallie Mae's calculation "error"???? Apparently 800,000 accounts got f**ked up and they're increasing payments on these accounts to reconcile their little oopise.
|
I did - I am still trying to get them to explain why based on their schedule - computer-error, I underpaid by $1,000 over a one year period at 4.86%/2.86% and am now expected to repay an extra $5,000 even though they are supposedly crediting the extra interest. I am also trying to get them to correct my interest rate, which is messed up on two of my loans (they should all be the same) and have been working on that for over a year. Good luck straightening out your account.

For Love or Money
This show is about to get really interesting.
The premise has been that the girls know they are battling for the opportunity to choose the man (bad idea) or the money (good idea), without him knowing.
Now, they are going to tell him ahead of time, so the girls will have to convince him that they really, really, really do love him for him, before the finalist dumps him for the money.
Cheap-ass NBC is paying an annuity -- over 40 years. So, it's for love or $150k in real money. Probably less, but I don't feel like doing the math.
