Good luck straightening out your account.
There were rumblings about a class action suit, but who knows on what basis the suit would be filed.

Now, they are going to tell him ahead of time, so the girls will have to convince him that they really, really, really do love him for him, before the finalist dumps him for the money.

Cheap-ass NBC is paying an annuity -- over 40 years. So, it's for love or $150k in real money. Probably less, but I don't feel like doing the math.
Hmm. I've started having real difficulty watching the show because of his dumb-ass hairstyle. Every time they cut to a confessional-type interview with him, I want to send a barber in to do somehting about that slicked back weirdo cut. I think he could be good looking (despite his doofus tendencies and total loser real-life escapades) if he would just do something about that hair! Argh!

And I think its funny that he kept that blond girl who he has no chemistry with over the girl who he played sucky face with on the boat. I guess there are two possibilities -- either he dislikes strong, aggressive women (as evidenced the first week by him getting rid of the "career woman" and keeping the future housewife) or she freaked him out by continualy asking him to tell her that he liked her the best...

1) Are the girls under the impression that they can have the money and him if he chooses them? I thought there was also a joke on them--they thought that the money was just a bonus, as opposed to a "tough" choice.

2) Caught that annuity thing at the end. Kind of makes those checks in the gold box a bit misleading, no? Maybe the 40 years is to ensure they don't actually get back together with him. After all, he did say (on Today) that

there was someone on the show he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

I absolutely agree about his hair. He might be attractive (personality aside) if his haircut wasn't so awful.

I think he dumped Laura (?) because she was an absolute pest about her position with him. I so wanted her dumped after their fireside chat and her cheesy wink.

Real World Alumnus in Congress?

from realityblurred --

Sean Duffy, one of the cast members of The Real World Boston and the now-husband of The Real World San Francisco Rachel Campos, may run for Congress. In an interview with the Wausau Daily Herald, Rachel said, "Sean is considering running for Congress in the 7th District against (U.S. Rep. Dave) Obey. It's not going to be an easy race." Obey is a Democrat first elected in 1969; Rachel doesn't mention what Sean's party affiliation might be.

Where do I sign up (at a low contingent rate, of course)? They jacked my payment up $60 a month.

What I want to know is what they are doing with (or to) the borrowers who were told they were paid in full during the period of the screwup... Probably can't do much to them, so they'd better not be sticking it to the rest of us to make up for it.

Of course, my interest rate is in the neighborhood of 1 1/2% right now, so its hard to complain too much...

Speaking of awful, how about those collagen lips with the pink lip gloss? I have a new rule. If you are going to puff up your lips (and I still need convincing this is a good idea for anyone), do not put lip gloss, let alone pink lip gloss, on them. They look ridiculous enough without the frosting. And her boobs looked like someone sat on the implants before they were sewed in.

I liked the juxtaposition of leaving the oldest gal who has begun her journey to Cherdome and the would be childbride who Rob (drunkenly?) admitted was too young for him. He probably figured a slavishly devoted little innocent would be more impressed with his "skills" in the sack (such as I am sure they are not) than a more experienced gal who has puffed up portions of her body to make herself appear "sexy", ie implying she wnats to be fucked and probably knows a thing or two about it. If I am him, I am going with the young innocent who probalby thinks a contract lawyer is someone who negotiates the big Wall Street mergers.

How gross is it that a 21 yo is lusting for a 33 yo man? I would ahve been like, sorry gramps, but you need to wash the stench of mothballs off your saggy self before you get anywhere near me.

He's a Republican.

But even more interesting, he's a competitive lumberjack due to compete in the upcoming ESPN contests.

Wasn't he was kind of runty on the "Fake" World?

In other news - not wasting time with a link - a Cravath Summer Associate is moonlighting as a placekicker for the Indoor Football League.

She just screams "issues!" every time I see her. I wonder how long she has been estranged from her father . . .

the question is, could she bear to spend the rest of her life with him? Let's see...jobless...no prospects...assaulted a fellow JAG trainee...asked bimbo taking off his boots to turn _that_ way so he could better view her ass...

Sounds like someone I'd want to spend the rest of my life with.

Well, if you're paid off, you're paid off. The alleged issue was that folks were not paying off quickly enough.

Mine went up about $40 a month.

Nonetheless, a lot of money in the aggregate.

Say, 800,000 affected borrowers. Multiply that by increase of $40 additional a month. Multiply that by 50 (ballpark number of payments left on each borrowers loan term) = $1.6 billion.

Speaking of football, does anyone know where I could find out the 1989-90 roster for the Florida Gators? I am just trying to find something out (and google is no help so far).

Totally! Aint that the truth? Every time I see a young gal marry a guy at least a decade older, she either has a dead parent or is estranged. Hello Justine Henin- Hardenne. She got married at twenty to some guy who is at least 35 and probably older. Mother died when she was a teenager, estranged from father. typical. do these things ever work out? And isnt there an incestuous implication there? I think when I was 21, anyone over 25 was really old. And that is how it shoud be.

WHere is my ESPN link????

If it's important, you could call the UF Sports Information Office in Gainesville and have them fax you the roster. It's in the press guide they publish annually.

Football rosters are for the fall season, so it would be the 1989 team.

Oh, and Paigow: http://espn.go.com/main.html
