I can't be careful enough for this. You'd all get painted fingers, for awhile, then no one would come back. The same lack of attention is why all the typos.

The sinners are much more fun.
Fuck you and the horse you rode in on for planting a Billy Joel song in my head.

I'll get you back for this later. And your little dog too.

And you just had to spread the joy to the rest of us who were previously uninfected, huh?

Jobs and other things

Thanks Debt Slave, I knew you'd come through.

Jobs, let's see.

1. Civil rights activist (go figure.)

2. An artist. I can't draw and always wished I could.

I wish I had enough money that I could write books, fiction and non-fiction. It's not that I need lots of money, or that writing doesn't pay, but I don't think I could enjoy it if I had to be turning stuff out to keep my kids clothed and the lights on.

I love those guys. Best Mythbusters tests, in reverse order:

5. Lightning strikes tongue piercing
4. Poppyseed bagel drug test
3. JATO car
2. Defenstrating lawyer
1. Explosive airplane decompression

Of course, the part about never getting back into your car when refueling was elucidating, too, but that explosion sucked, esp. compared to the airplane.

I note it is never the things I say that result in fireworks, but rather others reaction to me.

PJ, Slave, I think these were both very unChristian remarks. And, PJ, you should read up on a few more Saints, you Jewish girls start much too late.

Honey, if I want to be burned at the stake, I can just walk into my GC's office. And if you want piety, my YWCA camp taught me to sing grace to the Turtles' "Happy Together."

P(that oughta establish my religious street cred once and for all)J

Speaking of Kung Fu fighting

Don't call David Carradine a pussy, or he'll kiss you.

Fu for thought

One-time martial-arts matinee idol David Carradine is riding high on his role in Quentin Tarantino's latest opus, Kill Bill. But the comeback actor has discovered there's a downside to his tough-guy persona.

``Recently, this one jerk challenged me to a fight, on a film set of all places,'' Carradine tells the New York Daily News. ``He was saying all this stuff about how I had been in kung-fu films but couldn't fight, because the fight scenes were faked.''

``I kept saying, `You've got to be kidding,' '' recalls Carradine, now 67. ``Then he just started throwing punches. Finally I got hold of him and spun him around and laid him on the ground and sat on top of him.''

``I started kissing him all over his head and shoulders. That ended it.''
