If it lands on and stays on the mound (not touching any grass), the person holding the cup wins the money. Is the only way taking clients to a baseball game can be made to be a tolerable event. Works better in suites.

(No, I don't think I have a gambling problem. Why do you ask?)

Does the winner then have to buy drinks?

Damn, that there is some good avatar material.

Clicking through the mug shots, brought a much needed chuckle to my very bleak week.

I was expecting something more sexy and salacious from you. I'm disappointed.

Me too. Possibly involving a couple birds to go with the ball and the mound.

Well, if you're in a suite with clients, the drinks sort of take care of themselves. If it is among friends, seems like a round of drinks should be in order.

It is actually fairly rare for the ball to stick, so the pot can build up quite a bit. It will usually hit once or twice a game though. Once you realize that this is a potential game, it does make the time go by more quickly. And it is fun to watch and conjecture on who is actually trying to make it stick. The home plate umpire is most likely to give it a nice soft roll.

Please?

There's nothing better than minor league baseball and moundball.

Sometimes it seems like the first baseman knows that people are playing and is conscious of his tosses back to the mound...

I'd like to romantically enfranchise you.

Oh, hell, who am I kidding. What does romance have to do with anything.

Maybe you were distracted. "Krispy Kreme began another phase of rapid expansion in the 1990s."

Wikipedia is the best thing ever.
