Deja Rerun: The office

Gareth: They should be rewarded for having big boobs
David: Treated equally.
The great thing is the show gets better upon each viewing, but I suspect its bc I have an easier time understanding their accents. Are there really only six episodes in rotation and if so, why is the show being shown like fifteen times this week?
I look forward to the So Graham Norton week next week. I saw that for the first time on Friday. It had Kim Catrall promoting the Satisfaction book and the host went in the office and had men show the little camera how they perform oral. Fucking hilarious.
We need an Da Ali G week. Saw it this weekend (never remmeber its on) and the interview with C Everet Koop was priceless. I may have to get tivo for these shows.

I heart BBC. Thanks to Atticus for turning me onto the Office.

From the website for the show, there appear to be 2 seasons of 6 episodes each. BBC is only running first seasion shows this week, I guess as an introduction. I tuned in both nights and the schedule (also based on info from the website) appears to be that Monday they showed episodes 1-3, Tuesday it was 2-4, so I guess it is really only one new one per night going forward. I've only seen 1-3, but my current favorite is the quiz show episode. I've had birthdays just like the one Tim had in that show (a few really crappy gifts/cards, followed by some forced work function). Tho I liked the giant inflatable penis...

An alternative, if you have the time, would be to make a big pot of soup every Sunday and take a bowl each day. That way you know what has gone into what you are eating and don't have the preservatives issue.

I don't mind Hanks because he's not foisted on us as a sex god. Julia is protrayed as some beautiful goddess when in reality she's just a pretty good actress with mediocre looks.
Denzel Washington should play more villians. The cat he played in Training Day was the most evil character I've seen on screen in a long time.

Isn't "not as careful" sort of like being dumb?

Spree: It's not just men who die younger than women because they're driven by nature to look for dates and mates. Add male squirrels to the list.

Man-hos, watch out!
OK, if it wasn't for your explanation I would hav assumed, from your subject line, that this was a continuation of our discussion of the increasing commonness of the "house-boy" phenomenon among our age group. 'Cause, I'm the primary breadwinner, too, and having all those "it sucks to be the breadwinner" feelings (though none about not taking care of the children), and the Mr. has taken to referring to himself as a "man-ho," chiefly in front of my mother because it drives her nuts. (Also because he thinks Deuce Bigalow was a brilliant unappreciated movie, but moving on...) I keep telling him I don't keep him in high enough style to be a proper man-ho, and make him clean, cook and do home repairs besides, but he insists he's a slug-a-bed cabanna boy anyhow.
Anyway, the whole thing was reminding me of the fact that, in most of the world, women are, in fact, the main providers for their families, economically as well as in housekeeping. But no one realizes this. In most of the world, the men sit on their asses or head into town to drink tea and shoot the shit while women do all the work.
Just thought I'd comment.

Substitute beer for tea and you have just described the result of the dole system in Ireland. ![Big Grin](http://www.lawtalkers.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

So it's not, as one comedian said whose name escapes me, that women outlive men for the simple reason that "they're not married to women?" ![Wink](http://www.lawtalkers.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Nothing by new york standards, but we don't make new york money in the provinces.
Prices have dropped since the bust, of course.

Maybe in some places.
Our house is up 55% since we bought it - 20 months ago.

I think it is 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, but I am not certain.
And I just re-read that. 5300 square feet? That's palatial.

Married men live longer and are generally healthier than unmarried men.
