OMFG!
This is so wrong. People should have to be licensed by the state before "having" children.
ETA: No way are they actually his. They will be blond-haired and blue-eyed.

8.0 -- Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me A River" video. (Note: The most underrated example of vengeance on this list. After Britney cheated on him, not only did he dump her, he put out a best-selling album fueled by a song about their breakup in which he basically destroys her with the lyrics. Just an unbelievable piece of work. It's devastating. I can't even imagine what she did when she first heard it. And if that wasn't enough, he made a well-received video about the song, starring a Britney look-alike. And if THAT wasn't enough, he immediately started going out with Cameron Diaz. By the time he was done, Britney's career was in the tank -- she was chain-smoking and hanging out with backup dancers and white trash guys from her hometown. Now that, my friends, is vengeance. Bravo, Justin. Bravo.)

Now that's what I'm talking about! I need to come up with the soccer version for the ex.

[for the ladies:]
(Hey Anne, I hear he plays soccer, too. You could have some fun and get your revenge the best possible way.)

We come from neighboring home towns. He's an ass.
I'd like someone hot and charming who I can bring to a few games. As long as the ex thinks I'm having sex. I'm in negotiations now with a hot oncologist. A hot doctor who is a better soccer player than the ex. That would work. I'd work on stealing a cleat or shin guard too.
It's fun just to think about.

So apparently on Degrassi this year there was a teen pregnancy/abortion plotline that was aired in Canada in January. The N Channel (?) airs Degrassi here in the US, and has opted not to show the episodes that touched on the plotline.
The problem: The character goes through the abortion and doesn't think it was a bad idea.
Why is it so taboo in this country for a character to have an abortion on a TV show or movie? I can't think of a single "oops" pregnancy on TV that ended in abortion. Usually the mother miscarries before she can get to the clinic if she was contemplating abortion at all.
Related New York Times story and Toronto Star story.

I think he handed you a handful of tissue to cushion your head or something. Anyway, I heard him say "Jesus, bitch, shut up! Here." after you said "ouch!" when your head was hitting the wall really hard.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I remember wondering why he was bringing the Lord's son into the equation.

The episode wasn't bad in terms of its writing or acting, but it was a real departure from the usual kooky fare on SFU. The reviews on sites like TWOP (as RT linked to) have not been kind. A number of people were shocked at the violence, and pissed that they had to sit through something so unexpected.
I wondered if it was put in there simply as a plot device for whatshisname to be mentally scarred for life (as if funeral directorhood didn't have enough material to draw from as it is.)

Excuse me, you fuckers, but I haven't seen this episode yet. So could we use RP's nifty new trick if we're going to talk about it. Or at least do a Coltrane/Spookyfish Courtesty Wave and warn me in the Re: line.
Thank you.
Um, for those of you not sure... I'm kidding. Except that I really haven't seen this episode yet.
