Yes, that's one of those few tunes that Bobby now owns. And no, he does not own "Queen Jane."

He could have better pulled off, "I'm nuts and sometimes i just say shit on stage, and I get really wound up and sometimes I go after hecklers, and when I do i go all out and don't filter stuff I'm saying. I'm sorry for what I said. i meant to attack a black man and instead I said stuff that offends all black people and most white people."
the rambling thing he did do makes it seem the rant was more a part of his personality that I would have thought.
I heard someone say that he was a mediocre comic who landed the perfect role, and really had no future after Seinfeld anyway.
does anyone know if Prussian Blue needs an opening act?

I know this is a whiff, but it was about a 20 year sentence s for armed robbery.
Just to show how cool I was even back then, Merle was my favorite recording artist in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

He came off as a stammering fucking fool on Letterman. His tangents about Katrina and his freestyle stage persona made him look like a jackass who wanted to point to anything other than his clear intent in using the word.
I was shocked that he didn't have anything prepared and floored that he didn't even seem to have a loose plan of what he was going to say.
Here is what he should have said: "First of all, I have no excuses for my actions last night. I am looking deep inside myself to find out where something like that could have come from. Needless to say, this will be a long, personal process for me and I plan on taking every step I need to take to uncover the flaws in myself that led me to even think, let alone utter the vile, disgusting things I said.
At this point in that process, I can tell you that I have a problem with rage and have been struggling to find myself professionally as well as personally after the tremendous success of Seinfeld. It has been hard. The heckler I confronted last night struck a nerve when they said I was not funny. Please keep in mind that I am not presenting an excuse, but an explanation for my outburst. Although I like to think of myself as a professional who can deal with these situations, which are common in stand-up, I was furious. And since I was hurt on a deep level, I wanted to strike back at this person in the most hurtful way I could think of. I did that and again, there is no excuse for my actions.
I want to apologize directly to him, everyone at the club that night and everyone in this country. What I did was small minded, stupid and let's face it, racist. I do not believe I am a racist person, but after stepping back and looking at what I said, I need to rethink who I am. And that will be part of this process of introspection I am undertaking. Once again, I am sorry from the bottom of my heart."

yes. but given the extent of the rant, would anything have explained it? I mean if n***** is the first word out of a white guy's mouth when he's really pissed at a black guy, maybe he can explain it. It's a bit tougher when it's the first word, the 20th, the 90th...... and it's interspersed by lynching references.

that's probably close to the truth, but not a truth he could voice. or if he did voice it, it kills the career.

Penguin news
Thurgreed will remember that a few months ago, some penguins headed to Texas were in a car crash. Four didn't make it.
He and I had a moment of silence.
Happily, the ones that made it seem to be doing well. Two of them are celebrating the birth of a chick! There are eight more eggs awaiting hatching.
Yay penguins!

The sentiment is good, but it's a little long and I think you'll lose the audience. Throw in a couple of jokes to punch it up a little.
