For about the first three years after I moved out of my parents house I lived on Gerber and Heinz jars of baby food. I would tote the little jars around. It was kind of an expensive way to eat but it was all I wanted to eat. I also ate pablum frequently. Weird, I know, but it was what I wanted.

I can see some of the vegetables or fruit being ok (if kinda bland), but the jars shown in the article were along the lines of beef stew. The thought of pulverized beef stew is absolutely repulsive to me. Please say that isn't what you liked...

Funny this should come up today. Just last night I saw a Gerber commercial that stated that 2 (or 3?) jars of Gerber baby food contain the 5-a-day of fruits/veggies recommended for optimal health. I turned to my SO and joked about how it seemed like they were marketing that to take-out dependent adults like us (hey, at least my Thai Food had string beans in it).

Let's Roomba!
Can someone who has a Roomba please discuss/describe? I'm looking at the website but of course trust my imaginary internet friends more than their PR people.

I learned all about Jesus and his brothers on www.icebox.com and its series "Jesus and His Brothers." Pretty good stuff. My favorite Icebox series' were:
1. Hard Drinkin' Lincoln
2. Mr. Wong
3. Superhero Roommate
4. Starship Regulars
Nothing else really floated my boat, though I thought that the Elvis and Jack Nicklaus Mysteries was a great premise. Just didn't quite have it though.

That stuff looked disgusting.
But CHOCOLATE FRIES!?! Good God, it's a disgusting combination, and caters to two of obese Americans' favorite sins: fat and chocolate.
Mmmm . . . Nuts and gum . . . together at last.

I wonder if str8 remembers the southern Ontario flirtation with chocolate potato chips (if I recall correctly, we had a whole bunch of weird flavors for a while, and still have hard-to-get-in-the-US flavors like dill pickle, salt & vinegar and ketchup chips). Anyway, the chocolate potato chips were gross.

Salt and vinegar chips are eeeeeasy to get here--I can't remember ever not being able to get them, when I had those sporadic cravings.

I LOVE salt-and-vinegar potato chips for about the first 4-6 chips and then they go to tasting just like all other chips to me (my tastebuds must aclimate to the salty-vinegar goodness). And I don't really like regular chips.
Has anyone tried Baked Doritos yet? I need a product description before I shell out the 79 cents next time I'm at Subway (6 inch Veggie Delite with lotsa vinegar).

Ketchup? Yikes! I guess it kinda makes sense. Ketchup, french fries. But ewwwww.
We have many varieties of dill and salt & vinegar. The OM is partial to Zapps, but that may be a Texas thing.

Given the theological discussions from this afternoon, this was pretty funny. Anyway, I have no Roomba, so I can share nothing about it with you.
But the Mary Magdalene discussion and RT's (I think) quoting of Jesus Christ, Superstar now has me humming "I Don't Know How to Love Him." Which is disturbing on multiple levels, now that I think about it.

Dill Pickle Hostess chips, I remember. Ketchup, I remember. Chocolate? Not so much.
My favorite Canadian snack foods:
1. Jos Louis
2. Wine gums (also British, of course)
3. Canadian Oreos
4. Smarties (no, not those Smarties, the other ones) (also British)
5. Crispy Crunch
6. Caramilk bars
7. Mr. Big
8. Crunchie
9. Aero bars (mmmm, bubbles).

What exactly do you want to know? Since I brought it up and recommended it, I will follow through with the topic. I can honestly say that the ONLY problem I have with Roomba, is that sometimes mine seemed suicidal. THat was because some fur got caught and was covering the stair sensor. He would just launch himself off the stairs and make his little chimey sound until I rescured and righted him. Once I cleaned ot off though, he found his will to live.
It does and excellent job on hardwoods and, as I said before, non-long-shag carpeting. You have to clean out the brushes every few weeks or so, I roomba my entire house every week. If you are impatient, You might want to get an extra battery or quick-charger because it does take 12 hrs to recharge after 12-3 hours of running. It also rocks on picking up hair off the bathroom floor (I have long hair and shed a lot).
