FWIW, I do not like Au Bon Pain's coffee it is so not good, and I've tried, over and over. Whole Food's coffee bar is not bad in a pinch...

CC's Coffee. They are only in the south I think, but feel free to enlighten me if I am wrong. They haven't done very well in Dallas. Closed the store that was closest to downtown over a year ago.

It's gumptione for males.
ETA: The champagne I had for lunch is telling me that I think this is funnier than it really is.

Booze helps his drafting. Ever hear of Hemingway? All right, then.

It's so hard to tell with the Italians.

We'll always have the Wedge. But my impression is that they do not have much patience for racists or classists there. I also think they would frown upon both your corporate smoothie and the tortured grammar used to describe the smoothie. But no worries here. The next time you're in town, we'll swing by the Wedge juice bar for some wheatgrass shots and some delicious Rice Dream smoothies. Just let me do the ordering.

I could go for that, but it seems, in Coltrane's case, to make the drafting worse. Alas.

You post a "drunken writer" retort - and you actually choose Hemingway over Yeats?
What kind of a mick are you?

21% of adults 18-29 get their news from Jon Stewart and Tina Fey. Bilmore wept.

No Soy? or did we discuss this prior. Hm.....I think we even discussed that Odwalla is now owned by a huge corporation even, I had a soy vanilla almond future shake this morning. I know, I shouldn't mention an independent health food establishment in the same breath as a chain....

oldskool poll of the day

Since the majority of the oldskoolers who post here posted on other greedyassociate style internet chatting boards before lawtallkers.com became the preeminent source of internet style chatting for bored lawyers, today's oldskool poll is:
How did you get turned on to the internet lawyer chatting board rage?
I'll go first. Back in 90 or 91 in a place called DC during the period known as my post-hippie daze, I was trying to get into the pants sts, no offence, of this politico chick who worked for Sec. of Education Lamar Alexander. You know, the plaid shirted dude from Tennessee, no offence. Anyhoo, this girl had a roommate who was an L.A. for Tennessee Senator Al Gore. This was right after Gore invented the internet and his staffers were the keepers of the secret passwords to get in. Long story, I didn't get the girl, but I got an internet password and bingo, being a lawyer wannabe I did a worldwideweb search for "lawyers" AND "chatting" and latched on to the first internet style lawyer chatting board that came down the information pipeline. I'm a magnet for serendipitous coincidence like that. All paradoxy aside. The rest is history.
Vizzle la plizzle!

The reptile house at the zoo is frequently stinky. I am assuming your kind have taken the places of most Houstonians.
