Vanity? A Stroke?

I often wonder whether it spossible at our age to have a stroke or a silent heart attack of some kind and not known it. I was once driving along on the road the morning after a night of partying and had to pull over because my heart started beating uncontrollably fast and heavy and I had to get out of the car and catch my breath. After I ate something, it seemed to subside. I've had a stress test since then and they said my heart is in fantastic shape, so that leads me to question what caused me to have that uncontrolled heart freakout.
Sebby, I wouldn't have mentioned the OM's problem if I had a problem talking about it. The doctor told him something kinda scary, confirmed by what other docs have told my friends, the damage you do to your heart with high blood pressure is cummulative. She put him on diuretics to get his high blood pressure under control. His blood pressure is at the low-end of high, but still high. With any high blood pressure, it is important to manage it early.

As for how such a thing happens . . . it just does. She told him that the cause of him nearly losing consciousness and losing feeling in his arms and legs was inexplicable. (She's an excellent doctor, a real scholar, so her inexplicable doesn't mean get out of here, your hmo won't pay.)

Like your experience, his episode passed, with no damage, and he is fine.

For those late to the party: the OM is in his early 30s, he's a vegetarian and a cyclist. He smokes, he drinks, and he eats fatty foods. None of that caused his episode. It just happened.

I know three women who have had strokes. Two died. One was leading a very unhealthy life (she was 19 when she died). One was leading an exemplary life (no booze, no smoking etc) - she was 22 when she died. The one that lived had the occasional smoke, drank moderately, smoked a joint maybe once a month and ate a good diet. She was 30 when she had the stroke. The only thing that all three had in common was that they were on the pill, although it was never officially linked to the stroke in any case, I think. Could have just been pure coincidence, I don't know. But it's weird.

Just an FYI, but GWNC, the pill (especially some not sold in the US, but sold in Canada, Aussieland and the UK, like Diane/Dianette) have definitely been linked to strokes because of blood clots. Plus, those pills are often given to women to "regulate" their periods and the reason they aren't having regular periods is because they have an underlying metabolic problem (ovarian, adrenal, etc.)

OK, this is getting way too medical...back to contracts...

Ok, seriously, what does it mean.

It means I, Slave, Mr and now E/O can see the numbers that identify your provider.

What does this mean? It means, depending on how it is listed, I can figure out what firm you work for. In most cases your IP address is just a bunch of numbers, so it would take me running those numbers through a program to identify your provider/firm.

In some cases the IP is identified by name instead of number, and that tells me right off the bat what firm you work for, or at least what firm you are connecting from, or what internet provider you use.

We don't use the information however to identify what firm you work for, so we don't run IP numbers through any software to figure that out. We only use the information to identify what sock belongs to what poster or what poster belongs to what post, in case of trouble. Say someone is abusing anon, or someone has made a sock and is violating the rules, or someone is simply violating the rules. I can ban someone if I need to, or choose to moderate his posts or what have you, through the use of the IP address (assuming that address doesn't change, as a lot of them do.)

To be very clear, we cannot, from the information we have, figure out who you are.

Is it conceivable to figure out who you are with a combination of the information we have and information from your firm? Yes, it is. But it would require cooperation between this site and the firm or provider in question. And it would require that your firm be able to identify you through your IP address, which may or may not be easily done. To get that information from your firm would require a court order is my guess. Similarly, as you will note under our privacy policy there are very specific things that will trigger our providing such information, and generally those amount to a court order or cooperating with legal authorities, i.e. FBI, police, etc etc.

Whether you have a window office or a cube, no, I don't think they can see that, unless your firm or company uses an older version of NetWare.
Correct. Most firms have set up firewalls to ensure that the only IP address that gets transmitted is the firm's address.

So, if two of you from the same firm are posting on the same boards and the other guy is f**king around to the point where em gets tossed from the board via the blocking of the IP address, you wind up getting banned as well.

Who tans anymore? Besides my gay neighbor that is.

You know, between the PETA Pam Anderson turn off comment and posts like these, it is a wonder we ever banged.

Don't make it sound that complicated. There are any number of websites that will tell you the location of a particular IP address.

Ok, but can I still call you my love muffin? Or does it now have to be Her Royal Highness, Empress Love Muffin?

Can this "gift" of yours in any way allow you to back up my assertion that I am not a Paigow tribute sock?

Nah, just wondering. I guess I should have stated "confirm or deny" to keep Paigow guessing. I like to think that the chance that I might be a tribute sock may be a pick-me-up for Paigow some days.

The wifey and I went to a resort in Jamaica two years ago.

There were plenty of folks who were taking advantage of the opportunity for "all-inclusive" tans.

Yes, and he clubs women over the head and then drags them by the hair back to his cave to rape them.

Too many people are guided by their appetite and hunger. Why do you think Americans are so fat? Isn't this objection directly inconsistent with your continuing complaints about mutherjumpin huge people?

The point's pretty simple, as Seinfeld and the low-fat yogurt demonstrated. If you think something's low cal, but it isn't, you really ought to find out. While I would never think a burrito is dietetic, knowing what's in it, calorie, fat, and sodium-wise is not girly, it's common sense.
People are fat bc they live to eat and dont eat to live. They do not listen to their bodies. ANd they eat processed food. PROCESSED food. Have you not read a single post of mine ever?

Frozen yogurt is junk food. Empty calories. Its extra shit, just not as bad as ice cream. And dont telll me it is good bc it has calcium. It has sugar and gum and gelatin and shit in it. And who knows what else. And you aint eating it bc your hungry but bc you want sweets. Its nothing to do with food except it goes in your mouth and through the digestive system.
